How can another nightblade follow me around and see me while im sneaking, no matter where im at?

I'm a nightblade and I had a match where this dude said he was carrying the team and being really rude to people. We told him to stop it and after the match he sent me a bunch of harassing whispers saying he was gonna follow me wherever I go to not come back to battleground. I put him on ignore and went about my business. I was playing another match and I was completely stealthed out at some random place on the way to the flag. This guy knew exactly where i was but i couldn't see him, even though i was stealth. I said ok this is a fluke, he used no ability or gave me any indication he was using an ability. He did it again, no matter where i went he found me even if i was stealthed. Anyways. This dude followed me back to the spawn and was stealth, he would gank me everytime i came out, even though i tried two different exits using stealth. He spawn camped me the whole match and I couldn't even leave 5 foot from the base. Then started teabagging me. Is there any counter to this kind of stuff? what should i do. I use the ability camo hunter to try and locate him but he 100% always got the drop of me first.

There are cheats in the game, and there's nothing you can do about it, because ZOS does not take cheating seriously.

thanks i figured he maybe hacking, as i've never seen this before. can someone from ZOS pm me i'll give you his info so you can look into this. He was very toxic to people in pvp matches even when we told him to stop. Then started harassing us in PM's. The guy in my group said this is why not as many people play pvp anymore because of toxicity. Also when i stunned him he'd break free abnormally fast. No chance for me even though i've a pretty decent nightblade.

He was even on the same team as me twice and told the group to kick me because I suck. Whats funny at the end of the match I had more kills and points than him.

ZoS takes cheats so serious they wrecked Cyrodiil trying to combat cheating. A lot of calculations that used to happen player side now happens server side.

I'd guess some combination of detection radius increase passives and detect pots. After a while you also get a feel for how another NB moves and thinks (and there aren't a lot of options for leaving a spawn point). But the only way to know is ask him.

Regardless of how he's doing it and if it's through cheating or legitimate means, he's still harassing you, which is against TOS, so he can be reported for that if nothing else.

That was over 5 years ago, and it literally took someone flying around the map firing meteor non stop to get ZOS to act.

thanks i'll report him, but I also would like to know how to counter this if it wasn't a hack. He didn't use mage light, or piercing mark, or camo hunter on me. But i'm not sure about stealth detect potions. Also no passive I see can increase stealth detection radius for a khajiit. Also CP is disabled in battlegrounds, so no go there. If he is playing legit i wanna know how i'm getting my butt kicked so I can overcome this if it happens again.

There is a cheat in the game that let's people do this. I had someone do it to me the other day as well (might even be the same guy). Cheating is starting to get more rampant than usual in PvP lately I have started to notice. I encountered a premade using some kind of cheat to circumvent and dominate the solo battlegrounds the other day too. One of them would literally pick me up in the air and levitate me around the arena like he had force telekinesis (no I am not kidding).

Best you can do is report them and hope ZoS does something.

yeah this was very odd. This dude needs a perma ban or his account wiped clean. even if he wasn't hacking, he needs a perma ban, i don't imagine this is his first time being so toxic to people and threatening and harassing them. I'll give ZOS a few days to deal with. But if I see his name in my battleground ever again I might decide its time to give this up.

Make sure you report them through this website instead of in-game (and include any unedited screenshots you have of their bad behavior). ZOS is bad about ignoring in-game reports, but I've always heard back from them when I report issues through the website. Just make sure you respond to the automated email you receive with something like, "Yes, I still want you to look into this" because your ticket will be deleted if you don't respond within a certain amount of time.

I was thinking Wood Elf, guess not.

Detect pots give +20 meters of stealth detection. You should carry some yourself, they're more useful than detection abilities. Some nightblades like to hunt nightblades, this won't be the last time it happens.

ok cool yeah i found out about them about 30 mins ago after doing some research. I also don't care about him using those or finding me, or being better than me. What i care about is the targeted harassment, so don't get me wrong. Now i know how to beat him though, he won't beat me if i get the drop on him. Thanks for sharing your info.

ok. i haven't actually confirmed pets tracking players in stealth, but it seems pretty consistent. similar to cloaking to flank a npc only for it to turn toward you

No, because then people would ignore anyone who beat them in pvp or sucked in a dungeon, or disagreed with them over something. Then it would mess with queue times.

There is also the Sentry set that gives a decent area of stealth detection when crouching.
I use this set, and have been accused of cheating by other nightblades until I linked them the set. They mostly accept the explanation, but some will still insist that I used some cheat.

    - Expert Hunter can inhibit stealth in PVP areas.
    - Way of Air and Sentry sets give bonuses that increase the wearer's stealth detection radius.
    - Conspicuous Poison IX: Marks your victim, permitting you to see them while stealthed for 10.0 seconds. (10 second cooldown)
    - Essence of Detection: Increase your Stealth Detection by 20 meters for 15.7 seconds. (45 second cooldown)

The the stealth/sneak radius detection are in the new green CP tree in addition to the racial passives. But CP is no use in most battlegrounds unfortunately. I am a sneaky Khajit as well.

that's because the basic premise in pvp is PLAYER VS PLAYER, player damaging other players. That openness to attacking other players indiscriminately attracts the worst of the worst. Those who LIKE playing dirty to win.

Probably a hacker. Definitely worth reporting.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

If he was using detection pots you would be visible to him long before your camo hunter showed him to you. And it's true that after playing NB for a while you get a feel for how people move around when in stealth and I can often find other NB's by looking in places I'd be likely to hide on mine.
Every piece of heavy armor worn also increases your detection radius quite a bit so if you've got a couple of pieces of heavy on and he's full medium he'd see you first.
