I can't find any good looking shoulder for my casual-type outfits.

Honor Guard epaulets are slim and unobtrusive, but still easily visible -- and they have no strap or anything, so they look like they're just glued to your arm if your chest piece doesn't have an appropriate sleeve/armband/whatevs.

Mercenary shoulders can be kind of okay. They're one of the few asymmetrical shoulders, and are sort of plain(?) enough to go with most any style. They float less than other styles too, which is always good.

The Prophet's Shawl (I think that's the name, not in-game atm) is an okay entire shoulder/collar covering that is pretty plain and dyeable, so you can make it work with certain looks.

Akaviri epaulets, Assassin's League shoulders, and a few others I can't quite remember off the top of my head are slim shoulder coverings that are often just hidden in bulkier chest styles, or close enough that dye matching them will make them pretty inconspicuous.

Though the real solution is to repeatedly ask ZOS until they finally relent and let us just hide any & every piece of clothing we feel is appropriate for customizing our characters! ;P

Velidreth's Arm Cops is decent looking, especially if you custom color it.

I do one of three things:

Use Medium Outlaw Shoulders (these meld pretty well with a lot of styles, and are fairly unobtrusive)
Use Medium Ancestral Reach Shoulders (on characters that wear Ancestral Reach, Barbaric, or Primal Style armor)
    Don't wear shoulders at all

These are the low-profile shoulders You can hide/blend into the arms of your chest pieces.
      • Honorguard light/medium. light is almost flush with your skin.
      • Akaviri light.
      • Assasin's league medium/heavy.
      • Dwarven light/medium. Medium sits lower on the arm than normal.
      • Skinchanger medium

These are single shoulders, they often look stylish if matched with similar styles.
      • Mercenary light/medium/heavy. Light is a bit floaty.
      • Dreadhorn medium. Has undyeable fur.
      • Silver Dawn light/medium/heavy. All are undyeable, but heavy matches well with some of the recent holiday styles.
      • Minotaur light/medium/heavy.
      • Pyandonean heavy.
      • Second Legion arm cops. Its from an event.
      • most monster shoulders.

And these are shoulder pieces that dont really look like shoulder pieces.
      • Malacath light. Close enough to the chest it can clip into thicker chest armors and look more like a trim.
      • Sunspire light. Looks more like part of the sleeve. Has undyeable red trim.
      • Shield of Senchal light. again looks more like part of the sleeve.
      • High Elf light. Some of these clip with thicker armor. Low res though.
      • Windhelm scale tunic shoulders. Reward from the greymoore intro. undeyable
      • Prophet's shawl. From the anniversary event. Dyes weird, and clips in odd ways.
      • Sapiarch light/medium/heavy. Looks like part of the sleeve.
      • Breton light 1 & 2. Nice neutral cowls. lower res though.
      • Glass light. Can mostly hide under some armor.
      • Ancient elf. Can look like a trim on some armors.
      • Tsaesci light/medium/heavy. Sits closer to the elbow than the shoulder.
      • Abah's Watch light.

      Hope this helps!

I think the last datamine or announcement revealed that mephala might become available as style.
It is one of the smallest, one sided monster set shoulders.

This screenshot shows the monster set shoulder (physical, not as style).

It is one of the few I would use, beside honour guard light, mercenary medium and Akaviri light depending on the chest.

For example Akaviri gets covered by the arms if you use a coldsnap chest.

From memory, Akaviri and Dwarven epaulets. One or the other usually looks unobtrustive.

this is the coldsnap chest with Akaviri light shoulders - they are invisible usually,

just when she stands this way (cheerfull personality) they become visible. But still ok with a black dye.

the honorguard epaulets match very well with a wood elf medium chest, as that has arm bands, so it looks like the shoulder is attached to those.

A lot of unintrusive shoulders that can be hidden in some armour have already been mentioned, but you can also work with some of the less armour-y ones to make them blend in. They might not all be casual-like, but they can give some ideas.

Ancient Orc medium I think. It kinda wraps over the shoulder and looks good with some tops.

I'm sure that's not what the TC is looking for but I love the way Silver Dawn merges into the Blackreach Vanguard curaiss

last but not least this very unique one - undyable unfortunately. Reward for the skyrim prologue quest that you can activate for free in the crownstore (no chest piece on screenshot, "party" setup).

IMO I think shoulders and belts should be hideable just like helmets.

I love how we all found the same solutions

Mercenary, Tsaesci, and then any shawl-type shoulders (High Elf and Breton styles have a few to choose from right from the start. Prophet's Shawl is good. Malacath has one. Thieve's Guild too.)

Great suggestions! I just did some shopping for shoulder pages and finally my slimmer characters look unbulky.

Swordthane light and medium are also good shoulder pieces. Especially the epaulets are very small and pretty unnoticeable and I've used them a lot for this reason. Only, their fur fringe at the lower end may make them unsuitable to be paired with some styles.

I mostly use Akaviri light, Sapiarch light, Fang Lair light, the Windhelm scale (though only with characters wearing black for obvious reasons - really wish it was dyeable!)
