Quick Start Game

Hi 🙋🏼‍♂️

My game crashes quite frequently and have to restart the game quite a lot. Is there an add on that makes the game start up easier and quicker ? For instance without logos and intro movies of zos / bethesda / ..?

Or anything else that i can change in settings to make my game start up run faster ?

I don't know of such an add on.

It is possible (at least on PC) to skip the ESO intro videos by opening the open the UserSettings.txt file and changing the default SkipPregameVideos value from 0 to 1. Some kind and wise person posted that here on the forum some time ago and it has worked wonderfully for me.

I'd love it if the game offered the option to remember your password. In fact the entire log in process could certainly be refined to streamline the steps required to get into the game.

The best I can offer is putting eso.exe on your desktop and only bothering with the launcher when you need to update.

It might be better to find out why your game is crashing, and attempt to fix the issue(s).

It keeps on crashing because i have amac and the support for mac is very limited.
Everytime i use a wayshrine witha pet or mount it crashes since this update.

I tried this but it seems tto be the same .
I am on a mac by the way so not sure if its different. But if i find the file and i click on it , then the launcher starts up again.

What should be the difference if starting up via launcher and if you do it via eso.exe ?

You modify UserSettings.txt in your home folder \Elder Scrolls Online\live on your own risk
Change 0 to 1 in the line containing SkipPregameVideos
    SET SkipPregameVideos “0” —> “1”
(don't forget to backup the file before editing)

For more tweaks check Alcast's guide: https://alcasthq.com/eso-increase-performance-guide/

if things, somehow, go wrong you just delete UserSettings.txt and next launch it resets to "factory defaults".

I have a Mac 27" Late 2015 32GB and have not had these problems. Albeit the game does crash but that is a very occasional occurrence.

I have not edited any files or altered the game in any way. Do the crashes generate crash reports? There could be some clues there.

Sorry, I didn't meat it as a solution to the crashed. I meant it as skipping a step when you have to log back in.

Have you tried renaming your addon folder so your addons don't start up and seeing if the issue persists?
