Antiquities Furniture

Just some thoughts I wanted to share about the antiquities furniture. I just got the lead for the Blessed Dais of Almalexia and I think it is very nice, but it's huge. I had a similar problem with the Stained Glass of Lunar Phases, of which I've gotten two I don't know what to do with because they're way too big to fit nicely in any of my homes. I really love that antiquities drop furniture but, couldn't this furniture be a bit more functional? The whale totem or ebony fox are great because you can place them just about everywhere without any issue, but this really huge things stand out like a sore thumb in most of the houses. I end up placing most of them in the museum, because I can't really place them anywhere else without breaking the harmony of my homes' decorations.

I like having the option of having larger pieces of furniture. Once you start getting large houses when you have amassed enough gold, you will want big pieces to fill uo your house. Small pieces just do not cut it. I love where I was able to put the stained glass on my grand topal hideaway.

I think it´s actually nice to have larger and smaller items. We have those huge houses or properties with open spaces, so it makes sense that we get also very large objects. Especially if you think of the problem with the furnishing limit, you can quickly fill empty spaces with large objects.

I can totally see your point. Perhaps my biggest peeve is that I don't really know what to do with certain pieces that are actually huge and some that are not that large but don't seem to fit anywhere without standing out, and don't take me wrong, I love many of these but I just can't find where to place them. I have the Alinor Townhouse and the Psijic Villa, which is where this one certain piece ended, but I'm not a big fan of the huge houses since most of them have ridiculously large spaces and very little in the sense of rooms per se. Actually, I placed a wall in my Alinor house to create two separate spaces in order to get more rooms out of it.

You really have to add walls to the big houses if you want some cozy living areas. But that's what makes it interesting. I also did that with the free houses Hall of the Lunar Champion (main room) and with the Antiquarian´s Alpine gallery.

My "museum" is Pariah Pinnacle. The great room is perfect for the big stuff, and I can have my living quarters set up to the side.

Mine is the antiquarian's house because, yay, originality. XD

Anyways, we're sidetracking a bit so let me get this topic back on trail. I'm not asking for any of these things to be removed, that would be ludicrous, but what would you guys think about adding more "functional" or "common" furniture? Like, lets say, a nice looking bathtub, an original, unique bed, carpets, like the kind of stuff you would place in a common room. We have thrones which are really nice, but I would love to see some ancient aldmery bed, or ancient khajiiti bathtub (yes, we have that sacred fountain piece which is really neat!), or even books to place in our bookshelves.
