8 simple QOL fixes to make ESO even better - let ZOS know you want 'em

(Note: I am a console player, so I can't use add-ons, but I suspect that even PC folks would appreciate these changes)!

In order of priority:

1. Guild Trader Search: Create a toggle/dropdown to enable us to search only for unknown motifs, furnishing plans, recipes, and containers/collectables.  99% of the time I only want to see the motifs/plans/recipes/style pages that I don't already know.

2. Crafting stations: Allow us to search, sort, and filter crafting plans in the crafting menu of crafting stations (i.e., sort alphabetically rather than by category; search for all plans with the word "bed" in the name, etc). While you're at it, please do the same for provisioning recipes.

3. Eidetic memory: Add furnishing plans to Eidetic Memory, so we can see which furnishing plans we know without having to go to a crafting station, and also which plans we are still missing.

4. Master crafter writs: Add a visual indicator (text color, or additional text) to writs when I don't have the skill level, research traits, or - most important - the motif to complete it ("You do not meet the requirements to complete this writ").  Even better if you can filter searches on guild traders to show only those master writs you can complete, similar to #1 above.

5. Give console players the ability to mark items as junk (or to sell)  consistent with the base PC game.

6. Make treasure maps, style pages, and containers stackable and bankable in both personal and guild banks.

7. Motifs: Add an indicator of whether I know the corresponding style (i.e., I know the motif on an alt).

8. Update Keen Eye: Treasure Chests to include treasure map sites (treasure dig sites). Those freaking mounds are impossible to see in certain terrain, and we console folks can't just turn off the grass to make it easier.

Honestly the biggest one for me on console is voice chat swapping.

When you join a group, unless your remember to reload ui first, it puts you in group chat.

    I get why.

But the problem is, often when you try to change back to guild chat, the channel disappears. Every chat you try to join then disappears.

Only way to fix is shutting down the client and restarting.

This has been an ongoing issue for like 3 years.

Most times I or people in my guild group is with people in our guild. We like to hang out in guild chat so usually stay there unless it's a bet hm or arena where we need to talk, then we use group chat.

Can we either have this as an option when you join a group, like zone swapping, or a constant setting in options.

Or, fix the bug where you lose chat channels. I mean, it is a bug that's been around for 3 years and is affecting a key social aspect of the game.

Agree. Number 1 would be my most desired QoL improvement in the game.

Now this is something I can support. Everyone should have the same functionality.

I'll add "reduce the number of actively slotted green stars to a reasonable number."

Sure, why not. You get my vote. I mean, on PC I already have the functionality for 4 of the things you list via addons(and much better functionality than what you are suggesting here.) Trying to imagine what playing the game is like, without these addons, does not sound fun at all.

As a PC gamer I already have number 5, and find it baffling that it's not possible on consoles.

As for the other three... Don't see the point of number two, but if that works better for you then why not, though don't really see it as a priority. Number 8 makes sense, though thanks to addons (And the ability to turn of grass when needed) it isn't a big issue on PC, but understand why it is annoying on consoles.

And finally I really really really support the implementation of number 6. Those maps area a hassle to manage as is, and even bigger bother to go and actually collect. Stacking them all for a bulk chest hunting run would make dealing with them so much less annoying.

    Also a console player (xbox).
    Other QoL suggestions:

    1) ability to select which text chats to display on the display. 99.9% of the time I want Guild and Group but NOT Area

    2) disallow combat pets in cities - they seriously get in the way when crafting/selling/npc interactions

    3) restrict dueling in some areas. There's plenty of areas overland, but people insist on dueling in market/crafting/undaunted enclave areas.

I can't imagine trying to play an MMO on a console. I would think it would be difficult and painful. PC addons basically fix all the QOL issues that can't be fixed on a console. Basically everything listed can be done on a PC except stacking motifs/styles that ZOS doesn't want stacked for whatever reason. However, I do like that ESO was programmed to work on a console. It means it's set up to work relatively well with a gamepad which means I can use one on a PC and get the best of both worlds.

As someone who likes to fill Eidetic Memory and is unable to because some books are too hidden or locations become inaccessible (I'm looking at you"Note to Vanus" <_<) and because motifs are part of it (even though we can filter them out), number #3 would be a backfire (to me).

Other than that, it would be amazing additions to the game. I know it would benefit more console players, but I personally would be able to remove several add-ons in the process.
