Ever since the patch on Monday I've maybe gotten 1-2 surveys total over 3 days from doing crafting writs on all my characters. Normally I get several surveys a day.
Is it just me with bad RNG or is anyone else noticing this as well?
Azoi - Nightblade - Daggerfall Covenant - NA Server - 1st DC NA Grand Overlord Hzarn - Templar - Daggerfall Covenant - NA Server - Grand Overlord
...and many more.
I haven't gotten many since doing my surveys post- Jubilee event, but I'm actually okay with it. As a healer, I'm already carrying numerous sets around with me and when the surveys and crafting master writs start piling up, inventory management can be a hassle. And I routinely have at least 10k of any crafting material on me (excluding provisioning and alchemy) so I'm never that desperate for mats to do my writs with.

Want mine?
I farm as I go and don’t make time to do these as I don’t really need them.
I've noticed a slump in Master Writs but not really with surveys. During the Jubilee I was getting a LOT of consumable Master Writs (Provisioning, Alchemy, Enchanting) and a LOT of Woodworking across my toons, and hardly any Blacksmithing, Clothing and Jewelry writs. Since the Jubilee I've gotten 1 Provisioning, 1 Alchemy and 1 Woodworking while Blacksmithing and Clothing are dropping at what I would consider norm for pre-Jubilee rates. I really, really don't get why after putting so much work into levelling up skills, researching traits, farming motifs and investing skill points into crafting we can't have some semblance of a regular drop rate for master writs. But I guess that's another one of ZOS' multiple failures in coherent, player-friendly game design to be discussed at another time...
But with surveys, yeah, i'm still get plenty. Doesn't mean something isn't affecting the drop rate for others--I just may be lucky with the RNG on this (or perhaps I just have such a massive backlog of surveys I'm not noticing any change).
Isn't it really very early to jump to such conclusions after just two days? Something like two weeks would be more sufficient to see if the drop rate really is less. As for gold mats, I haven't seen any decrease, on the contrary rather. For instance, today I got two (!) chromium grains as crafting writ rewards. But I guess we'll see with time how it is with this thing.
From a statistical analysis, you need sample sizes measuring in the hundreds of each type of writ, to even begin to make conclusions (and this only if they are significantly off).
I don't track on the daily... not going to use anecdotes and "feels like..." type of analysis.
All I know that is that for 9 consecutive patches, the overall drop rate hasn't changed outside of statistical randomness when looked at as a whole.
Now, could it have changed since Monday... maybe? But it'll take weeks (or months) to come up with that conclusion. Not 2 days.
