Hmm, I'm sorry to disagree but I don't think this mini-zone makes a good player home. I think it's beautifully designed. I think the aesthetics and layout are great. BUT.... I think it's just too huge to decorate with only 700 items. I see your point about the access routes but I think that's a mediocre solution to a problem that they have artificially created. In my view, that's like complimenting the builder for adding more lights after they forgot to put in windows!!
Having spent a lot of time in this house yesterday, personally for me, my feedback is that once again they have designed a house with little regard for the frustrating impossibilities imposed by the item limit. How many times are they going to tell us that they hear us and they listen but then just ignore the problem anyway?!
The very fact that they have created passages to different parts of the house indicates that they do realise the sheer impossibility of being able to decorate this home in its entirety. So I say again, a mediocre solution to an unnecessary problem of their own doing.
Sorry to take a disagreeing stance but I really feel strongly about this one.

Honestly? It's not that big. No, seriously, hear me out. Volume-wise, you can almost fit the entire castle into the main room of Varlaisvea Ayleid Ruins... Or take a look at Earthtear Caverns, it's a giant open cave with tons of water. Not to mention Grand Topal Hideaway which has a village and an even bigger whole ISLAND. And it was one of the earliest Notable homes they made. So I don't think houses are getting obnoxiously bigger.
Space depends a lot on what you want to do with it. Loads of houses have far more space than Pantherfang Chapel, people just probably don't look at those spaces as 'need-to-fill-with-furnishing' spaces (Hall of the Lunar Champion, Hunter's Glade, etc). The main hall of Varlaisvea for example has a relatively small surface area... but if you look at the height and volume of the space as building potential, it's ginormous. What Pantherfang Chapel has, compared to other houses I guess, is many pre-made buildings with surfaces that sort of offer themselves up to be furnished in an obvious manner.
But what Pantherfang Chapel also has, is an amazing layout that is easily detachable. You have 3 potential pathways from the entry, and you can ignore / close off a lot of them. The castle also has room divisions that you can just detach by walling off the doorways, or you can skip an entire level by simply creating a lower ceiling with platforms. Many of the areas are also relatively small. Such as the yard (it has a lot of water, rocks, and battlement pathways that are sort of already 'done' without needing to build extra on it, unlike Moonsugar Meadow for example - just put up some lights, fill the stable with mounts and it's ready - siege weapons on the ramparts are optional); or the crypts (the underground is really just 3 narrow corridors and 2 stairways, not much room for furniture there).
Anyway, of course I 100% agree that more slots would be awesome, but I don't think Pantherfang is worse than previous houses. I'm really looking forward to it, and I appreciate having a good layout. Also, bonus points for whoever designed the castle elements, they really knew their stuff - it has proper narrow windows, good height crenelations, and also has machicolations and murder holes... *medievalgasm* The only thing it's missing is a moveable portcullis and a drawbridge.
