No torchbug thorax drop

I've grabbed at least 100 torchbugs in Eastmarch and I haven't gotten a single torchbug thorax. This has to be a bug since it's pretty much a statistical impossibility?

I don't know about Eastmarch but I once picked torchbugs for an hour in Murkmire and got zip. And that was post update. Could be just poor rng.

OK, I know this is an old thread, but I'd just like to say...
I've collected loads of Torchbug Thorax from all zones before Necrom.

But since Necrom released, I haven't received a single Torchbug Thorax while in Apocrypha, just insect parts, and hardly seen any torchbugs in other zones.
Is this deliberate or has the drop chance been signifiacantly reduced?

And no, I am not running out of river bait. lol

At least on PC/NA, I am getting alot of thoraxes in Apocrypha. Too bad they only come in one color...

I haven't been to Apocrypha yet, but my experiences in Murkmire match up with @cynicalbutterfly's; I've never gotten a single thorax from the red torchbugs there. I was surprised when I got thoraxes from red torchbugs in Blackwood, because based on my experiences in Murkmire I'd concluded that red torchbugs don't drop thoraxes.

Yes all Torchbugs I've seen are purple...
Still no Torchbug Thorax received at all using four toons in Apocrypha, on PS4.

Would like a comment from ZOS if this is because drop chance has been reduced to zero for Playstation players in Europe or a bug, please.
