No companion menu for companions inside our homes?

You're really gonna make me walk outside of my home to fully interact with my companion? Please, please change this.

Why would we NOT want to interact with our companions in our homes, is what I would hope you would have been asking yourselves when creating this feature.

And no, their very limited houseguest speech is not even remotely good enough. This is so, so disappointing.

To me not being able to summon them inside our houses seems strange.

Even worse: characters that have not done the introductory quests, cannot summon the companions. So they are not accountwide!
This is totally crappy for non-dps characters, or players who do not yet want to take characters into the zone. Which goes for me in both cases, as I have many tanks, and I like to play the game fully completing zone by zone.

    From the PTS patch notes:
They also cannot be summoned while you are in combat or if the summoning character has not yet completed the associated introductory quest, even if the collectible has been unlocked by another character.

I would assume it will be like the assistants you will have to place them as a furnishing or use them as houseguests.

On the livestream they said something about companions keeping their progress account-wide between characters, only you have to unlock them with each of your characters by doing their intro quest. So if you have 18 characters, you'll have to do that same quest 18 times, but they shouldn't lose their progress and armor when you switch characters. At least that was how I understood it.

I wouldn't mind the houseguest so much if the houseguest had the exact same functionality as the companion does. I want to swap gear, skills, have a convo about likes and dislikes, and dress them up at the outfit station in my home. You can't even change the ugly outfit on the houseguest version.

Can you believe it? Companions in your own home(land)!

And without the companion interaction menu!

Sounds like poor planning to me.
    1300+ CP | Lørd Wrath | - Sorcerer - Palatine - Grand Master Crafter - 30000 Achievement Points
Launch Player - PC - NA - EP

It would certainly be good to be able to access them in your home. However, I like the fact that each character has to unlock them by completing the quest - and that's coming from someone with over 40 characters!
