Power Slam. A reworked morph no one picks.

Can we please bring back the old Power Slam? The DPS version. I know it was not meta but it was so much fun running a shield maiden build. Weaving in Power Slam with bash attacks was so satisfying. If not then why not rework it into something that promotes aggression over defence. Something like this:

Power Slam:
Slam your shield into your target with tremendous force dealing 750 Physical Damage and increasing the damage of your next bash attack by 30%.

It might actually help bash builds be viable in non-meta builds and solo content.

I like the idea of the current powerslam, but the balance pf it makes it unviable for PvE and completely trash for PvP. If they adjusted the numbers and max stack block counter to something lower, then perhaps.

I like the idea of blocking and then countering... the attack is just much too weak. Perhaps add another bonus to it, conforming to the idea of going from defensive to offensive. Maybe set the opponent off balance and/or vulnerable.

Or blocking will be cheaper for three seconds.

They should add the damage from powerslam to heroic slash instead, it's really clunky to weave powerslam in pvp not to mention how clunky and dumb it looks lol.

Yep... it's a bit clunky. A synergy with heroic slash would also be a bit clunky. Maybe just a general bonus to damage to be able to use the bonus on the front bar.

As it is now, powerslam is just 100% pointless in any scenario.

Why does it look dumb? I had fun times weaving in my Power Slams with bashes. It looked like you were smacking people in the face really hard.

This is fine but there are virtually no skill that promote aggression. It is purely a sense of “You have to block to gain reward.” I mean the old Power Slam had that bonus anyway. But it’s baseline damage was more in line with other spammables. It was for all intents and purposes a spammable which meant you could use it without having to block, but if you did block you gained a damage bonus. The old version of the morph was far superior. All I’m suggesting is maybe they should think outside the box a bit hence having it buff bashes and promote aggressive play. Regarding the block bonus damage, they could simply put that on Reverberating Bash and it would be fine. Another idea is to have Invasion deal more damage the closer you are to a target. To promote a ‘stick to your target’ play style.

I use it and I like it only because I don't have any other decent spammable on my dk. Should replace heroic slash dmg with power slam dmg, doesn't make sense that slapping a shield does more dmg than the sword in ur other hand.
Either way I like your idea, anything to buff bash builds :P

Yeah, I get your points. DK's do face this issue and a sword attack does make more sense from a literal standpoint. I could never agree in the end though. My shield maiden held a special place in my heart haha.
