Need help for my (Imperial) Dragonknight

So, I used to play ESO a long time ago, and I'll admit, I was never particularly good at the game. Especially the late game. I've recently returned, and my damage output and the like are just poor.

I intend to do mostly PvE content, maybe group dungeons. My character uses heavy armor, a bow and two handed weapons mostly. I'm CP level 400-something.

I'm considering just resetting my perks so I can get abilities that will actually increase my damage output. I'm passively looking for set items, but as of present, that's still a WIP.

Only looking at perks, Skill Points, Champion Points, and abilities, what would be some skills that are worth investing my skill/champion points into? And should I focus on magicka, health, or stamina? Or a combination of the three? As said, I intend to do mostly PvE content with a bit of group content. Maybe PvP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to stick with bow and two handed weapons, stamina and weapon damage is the way to go.
For more damage use medium instead of heavy armor. Use skills with poison, disease and physical damage

I would google for stam DK builds try one out and than change things to fit your personal needs.

If I stuck with the heavy armor I'd probably be more looking at a Tank build I reckon?

if you plan to play sDK as damage dealer, using medium armor would be good idea, since it provides most benefits for you.
If you plan to tank in dungeons, using S&B and frost staff as backbar weapon is what is more or less most efficient way for DK to tank. If so, you will want to use full heavy armor.

If Damage dealing is what you look for, solid entry level setup would consist of a crafted set such is hundings rage, spriggans thorns as solid overland set that can be farmed in Bangkorai, and either a selene as monster set ( helmet drops in veteran Selenes Web) or mix of two separate monster set pieces that grant you critical chance increase or/and weapon damage (slimecraw/grundwulf for crit chance, velidreth/molag kena for weapon damage)

As food I suggest easy to buy dubious camoran throne, thief mundus stone, all traits on armor pieces should be divines, jewelry should be enchanted with weapon damage and if possible, at least two jewelry pieces traits should be changed to bloodthirsty.

Weapon traits should be precise on 2h sword and infused on bow.
On my 2h Id run either poison enchantment or stamina absorb enchantment, and bow will always be weapon damage enchantment.

Skills on 2h are venomous claw, noxious breath, reverse slice, stone giant (a.k.a. poop fist), and camo hunter, with flawless Dawnbreaker as ultimate.
On bow bar, Id use endless hail, Flames of Oblivion, barbed trap, molten armaments and vigor as just in case heal. Ultimate would be your main one, and that is standard of might.

As race, play with what you have.
Best races for DD role as stamina are still dark elf, orc and khajiit.

For tanking Id say using a selfish set as cp 400 is pretty much a must, since mitigation at such CP lvl is not great.
Id go for easy to farm setup, plague doctor from Deshaan, akaviri dragonguard from Eastmarch and Bloodspawn as monster set (Spindle 2 vet)

Setup would be pierce armor, igneous shield, heroic slash, green dragon blood as ohshit heal and defensive stance, for cheaper blocking and more block mitigation. Ulti is aggressive warhorn, and it is main ulti.
On frost staff bar, Id use frost clench, elemental blockade, unrelenting grip, balance, choking talons, and as ohshit ultimate magma shell.

    CP setup depends on role.
I cant give you great advice for these because zos decided to nerf them for new patch and PTS is not online yet so cant check.

Heavy Armor and damage output are a little ideosyncratic in this game.
You want martial damage? Go 7 pieces Medium and 64 Attribute Points into Stamina.
I am assuming you take the martial way, since you are using a TwoHander?

    As for skills:
Every Ability scales off one Attribute: Stamina, Magicka or Health. Take (and use) the Morphs corresponding to your highest ressource Stat.

When you choose your sets, take some that boost your corresponding Character Stats, for example:
    [Martial]
    Weapon Damage
    Crit Chance
    Max Stamina
    Stamina Recovery

It is that straight foreward! If you have problems deciding, use a build editor like that one, this is my build:

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.
