Addons not working

SteveyP777
Greetings,

After disconnecting my device from One Cloud it deleted loads of stuff one of which was Minion - my add-on manager.

Reinstalled Minion and it says a whole bunch of addons are ALREADY INSTALLED.

So I go into the game after installing Minion and under Settings there is no 'addons' section.

There is (confusingly - as always) a separate addons menu which I click on.

I tick the box that says 'allow out of date addons' but the list is completely empty.

I click 're-set UI' which does nothing.

So I exit the game and restart the device - re-enter...

Same story.

Minion says all these addons are already installed - so no option to install them.

Should I report this to IT or is there a known solution?

Thanks all!

SteveyP.

have you tried minion options about re-detect addon/game stuff?

could be minion saved list somewhere in a settings file. that one is still around from before...

ShutYerTrap (selectively mute NPC dialogues (stuga, companions); displayleads (antiquity leads location); UndauntedPledgeQueuer (small daily undaunted dungeon queuer window)

Minion keeps all data in the Minion.xml file. Close Minion, delete the file, and start from the beginning. It will scan the addon folder than and if it is empty it will not recognize any installed addons.

And remosito is right: Without a fresh Minion install or a manualy rescan it will not update the xml file properly.

Thanks everyone for the help - So it turns out Minion thought all the addons were still on the one drive even though they weren't.

I established the correct drive in Minions and then 'reinstalled' all the addons in the correct drive - that was all it required in the end - thank goodness 'cause I'd read horror stories of people having to reinstall the entire game from scratch!!!

    Thanks all.

Repairing or Reinstalling the game does no fix any addon related issues, in 99%.

Here is a good summary of what to check and do if you do not find the correct addons folder or if your addons are missing ingame:

I had this problem this morning after windows 10 pro update.

    Description:
Started ESO from the launcher. To my surprise the startup logos showed despite having them hidden in UserSettings.txt. Then I had to agree to all the licenses etc.. etc... server NA/EU select.... User/Password... No addons and all settings 'gone'.

    Solution:
Type in 'Controlled folder access' after pressing 'Start'. Then check blocked history. If you have 'eso64.exe' (or similar) somewhere in your list just add it to allowed apps. That is in the main page of 'Controlled folder access' under 'Allow an app through controlled folder access'. Find ESO and add it. This way the file can actually read 'Documents' folder.

Hope that helped if you had similar issue.
