Lightning or Inferno staves on Magplar? Also, BSW or Julianos with the latter?

Hey, I started playing the game a couple of months ago, and I run a what seems to be a pretty standard magplar PVE DPS build for beginners: Slimecraw + Julianos + Frontbarred MS + Maelstrom Staff on backbar. Both of the staves are lightning, simply because it's what's dropped for me in my very first Maelstrom Arena run, and you get a free lightning MS staff from questing.
I kept hearing that inferno staves are greatly superior due to burning, so I did a few hours of farming and got lucky with the drops — now I have both MS and MA inferno staves. However, I'm having seconds thoughts on whether spending transmute crystals on all that gear is worth it — most of the skills in my rotation are AoE (Sweeps, Blazing Spear, Wall, Solar Barrage), so won't the 8% aoe passive benefit me more? Also, increased sustain from being able to occasionally heavy attack off balance targets in a pinch is nice. So, looking for an advice from more experienced players. I'm mostly doing solo wbs, solo normal dungeons and occasional vet pug dungeons. Although, I do want to shift my focus to proper group play and start running group dungeons regularly.

And, if the flame staves are indeed preferable — I also got lucky and got myself a BSW set (including inferno staff). I've encountered quite a few opinions that BSW outperforms Julianos, but it's hard to farm and that's why most of the builds online stopped recommending it. Now that I actually got it on my hands without much effort, would Slimecraw + Fully Barred MS + Frontbarred BSW + MA staff on backbar outperform my current setup? Or is difference negligible and not worth 250 transmute crystals to get proper traits on all that gear?

Lightning is ok for solo content, but Inferno really shines in group content due to debuffs that make enemies vulnerable to fire damage (Engulfing Flames and Encratis Behemoth).

You really can’t go wrong with the BSW inferno front bar setup you described. Very few sets work well front bar, things like Julianos, Sorrow and Medusa are best left for armor or jewelry. Really the main one that would even compete with BSW front bar is Siroria, or maybe perfect False Gods if you need more sustain.

Lightning is strong for an aoe Magplar, pretty much all but two of our skills are aoe, so you get an overall 8% damage increase.
