I am curious a LOT of skills in this game have a distance aspect to them. but the game itself doesn't exactly tell us or give us a scale for distances. so can someone please give me a definition or reference for what a meter is in ESO?

I know people had found out how tall the character model is at max height, but I don't remember it.

The tallest high elf is about 2 meters in height. Have them play dead and extrapolate from there.

considering how precise the metric system is by nature, about is really not an accurate way of doing it.

is this really the only option? i mean so many skills have distances applied to them, and some use distance to vary damage. do i really just need to intuitively know what the distance is without any queues from the game itself?

In the military we would estimate using the top half of a torso in relation to qualifying ranges......dont think that helps here though haha

Mournhold bank has two circles in it, a small circle rug in the center and the wall. Hurricane at max distance will reach the wall if you stand directly in the center of the room, the rug helps you determine exact center. It's not a perfect solution, but it does give you an idea how large something can go so the room itself fits the 9 meters of Hurricane's final pulse.

I grew up metric, so no problem with that here.

If you want to get a better visual, find a ground based ability. After casting that skill, you'll see the exact circle on the ground (for some), combine that with the tooltip meter distance/radius to get a better sense of scale.

Read a skill's range, then approach an enemy until the skill becomes usable. The distance between you and the enemy at that moment is that distance. Extrapolate from there.

This can also be used for other stuff shards who don't need enemies.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
