Raising floor - an Idea

Hey, folks.

I've been reading (a little) the other threads on the subject, and an idea came to me.

Why is the floor low? Because some (most) people don't care trying to get better. It's in their rights, after all.
If they want something that's locked behing hard content, thei either queue, hoping to get carried ... or directly pay for a run. No real incentive for them to get better.

But what if there were achievement linked on the trial dummy? (everyone have access to those, by simple asking in zone chat)

One achievement for every 10k PERSONNAL DPS attained on the dummy, from 20k to 60k (no need to go higher .. if you do 60k DPS on the dummy, you are allright for most content, without being a burden).

20k would yield a tincture
30k would yield a costume
40k would yield a pet
50k would yield a mount
60k would yield a house.

Those rewards would need to be desirable, especially the house. Usable in rp, perhaps, like a tavern or a tower, or a cave ..

That would make a part of the "don't care" population wanna get better a little.
Not everyone, mind you, but some .. and the average floor would raise a bit, and the number of "fake DPS" would lower.

So, good idea, or bad idea? And then, why?
