Couldn't get my 3 daily event tickets

Hi, I got the following problem:
Yesterday I logged in to pick up the anniversary cake event tickets. After my toon picked up the slice I realized I had not enough space for them, so I cancelled to accept the tickets. But later when I tried the cake again the option with event tickets didn't appear anymore and my tickets just disappeared. I tried to re-log, contacted custom support and sent a bug report. The custom support recommended me to write here in the forum about my problem. Could anyone help me?
Thanks.

You can’t get them again once you open the loot panel with the tickets. Those are your tickets for the day. Once you close that window, you have to wait until tomorrow to get more.

ETA: While they aren’t super specific about the wording, they’ve explained this mechanic at the link below. Once you’ve “earned” your tickets (here by eating the cake and seeing that window pop up), you can’t earn them again that same day.

I don't think it's a bug. Everything about the event ticket system is aimed at getting players as invested as possible, and this helps accomplish that too.

It used to be that you could only get 1 or 2 tickets per day from an event. At that point the cap was 10, iirc, which was the highest ticket price for an item from the Impresario. When they started to offer 3 tickets per day, they upped the cap to 12, since 10 is not a multiple of 3 and anyone trying to get to 10 would inevitably lose tickets at some point in the process with 3 tickets earned at a time. The cap is still tight, though (in fact, the smallest number that can accommodate a 10-ticket price and the 3-a-day ticket rate for certain events), so players have to engage in most events if they want most of the rewards. You can skip one on rare occasion if you manage tickets very well and don't buy a lot of the infinite extras (cakes, repair kits, furniture, etc.). But you can't save up and then skip lots in a row while spending your ticket stock.

All that mental effort of keeping track of how many tickets we have, when we'll reach cap, what items we want to buy with tickets (vs. buying in stores or grinding or not acquiring at all) -- all that makes us feel more invested in the game. Same with keeping track of progress towards achievements, research, builds, etc.

The more we're focused on (and yes, anxious about) collecting tickets, the more invested we become. And if we miss tickets, then we have to reassess (i.e. invest more time, effort, and possibly gold/money): are those missed tickets going to cost us an item in the store? do we need to buy tickets? if so, is it better to spend crowns or gold?

Some people will resort to buying event tickets one way or another, but even those who don't will still remember the experience and will likely redouble their efforts to ensure they don't miss any more tickets. More mental/emotional investment translates to more financial investment in a lot of cases, whether directly and intentionally to make up for missed tickets or in less conscious, less immediate ways.
