Hidden by costume?

I just spent 6.5k to change a costume and it won’t show.
My character keeps showing the mage scholar outfit I got at some point as a level reward.
How do I turn this off?
I can’t find any costume listed under the U hot key.

Heh,
Never mind. I found the costumes under collections.

Your costumes - like the Mage Scholar costume - are in Collections under appearances. You can select and deselect them there. Costumes will always hide the appearance of your armor and the Outfits you make at the Dye/Outfit stations.



Your Outfits, on the other hand, are selected in the "Outfit Styles" section of Collections or at the drop-down menu at the station, as shown here as "Outfit 1":
