Knight-Errant's Mail - when do I get the bonus

Hi!

Need to dumb this down:

(5 items) Adds 450 Weapon Damage to your One Hand and Shield abilities. When you use a One Hand and Shield ability, you heal for 1537 Health.

So only when I use a one handed ability - like puncture, I get the added 450 + heal for 1537. That is 100% of the time?

A light or heavy attack will give me nothing?

If I use the ultimate Shield Discipline my one handed abilities cost nothing - so puncture/bash away and heal for 8 seconds....?

Anyone use this set? Thoughts?

if it works like Sword-singer:
1. it procs when you actively use S&B skills and wpd affects only skills from this tree
2. it doesn't affect light or heavy attacks on S&B bar
3. when you activate Shield Discipline (or other S&B skill with duration) it procs only once
I didn't test this set, but 95% sure that it works like that

Ah I see.

I was hoping for that 8 seconds of Shield I could go on a slight damage spree....
