Just wondering what people are thinking the best option is since the new update to CP 2.0 and the passive change, for use in PVE content, wether you're Solo or Group.
What do you use and why? (:

    PVE
For solo? Maces to reach pen.
Everything else , stam and mag alike, dagger seems like a good option.
    Axes are underpowered in comparison.
Don't know how swords fit in, but they seem to perform better than axes at least.

In the end it depends on what you are missing. If you're already at pen cap somehow it is a waste to run maces, for example.

I've always ran Sword and Dagger me for some crazy reason, idek if that was even viable before the change but that's been me🤷‍♀️
I'm just Intrested in what people are running and why (:

However, I'ma edit my OP just to clarify pve stuff (

Because those garnt the most damage increase. That's ususally what you want, except you feel a lack of healing.

If you're under the pen cap you run maces for extra penetration. Grants the biggest damage increase. In groups your peers usually bring down npc's armor enough to be at the sweet spot. You can reach the cap (18.2k) alone as well, but it's demanding a lot (major + minor breach, lover + divines, sharpened maul etc.)

If your pen is good, you usually go for extra crit chance (dagger) as it's the best source of extra damage (50% + X), even more so in groups where your crit dmg gets buffed even more.

Swords are nice if you're out for a mix of dmg and healing as wpn/ spl dmg grant both.

Axes don't grant as much dmg increase as daggers or maces. Therefor they are underperforming in comaprison.

Anyway, if you're not min maxing it doesn't really matter. Mix to your hearts content. Nothing is really wasted except pen if you're over the cap.

Axes might be good due to the status effect changes that allow bleeds to cause 'hemorrage', which is a dot/effect that can proc from any bleed damage. Not sure if there are class/weapon mechanics that can capitalize on hemorrage.

Two daggers. One nirn. One sharpened. Or precise. It’s close but I like 1 sharpened on stamplar.

Axes do not have Bleed effect on them anymore, Twin Blade and Blunt on Axes has 4% increased Critical damage per Axe on them so 8% if double.

This. To proc the effect you would first and foremost use something deals is bleed damage, which is only Twin Slashes for DW.

So you could use Twin Slashes with 2 daggers and proc Hemorrhaging.
But you could not use Rapid Strikes with 2 axes and proc it.

Honestly axes should give status effect chancw instead of crit dmg and healing, AL least it would be more interesting.
