45 Tickets Waste? (Solved)

Hi,

Today I realize that I have wasted/lost 45 event tickets.
I purchased the new Unstable Monolith (15), and then during the Jester event I upgraded it to Deadlands Scorcher (30).
Today is Anniversary Event and I get 3 more tickets, these I wanted to use on further upgrade and here I realize, I no longer had the Monolith nor the Deadlands pet anymore...

I did see the green text stating, that in order to use the Deadlands Scorcher you needed the pet from the Crown Store, but I already purchased it through Tickets,
so now my big question is this: Did I waste 45 tickets on some useless pet that I cannot use because I did not buy it from the Store?!

Is this the future gig from ESO, make people buy stuff from the store, I sure hope that this assumption is wrong, so someone eliviate if possible!

When you morph the pet into the skin, you have no pet left. You have to purchase the "pet parts" again. That's 15 tickets. When you have the three pet parts again, you can make a new pet to morph into the personality. When you have done that, you have to buy the three pet parts again in order to have the pet to morph into the next thing (the mount I guess....)

Then you have to buy the three pet parts again after you have morphed the pet into the mount, so that you can morph the pet into the house.

You get the pet, and then you can transform the pet into something else. But then you have no pet.

    So you get another pet...

This is how the previous event collectibles were also.

So, The Unstable Monolith is spawnable and follows you like any other pet, but the Deadlands Scorcher is not?

When I look in my Collections, I have neither, I know the Monolith will be consumed, but what about the Deadlands? That should still be "collected" and visible, but it's not.

The scorcher is no longer a pet, but a 'skin'. You would look under the Appearance tab of collectibles.

That, I can't tell you, because I don't have any use at all for skins and personalities. Sorry.

    Indeed!
There we have something, so I haven't wasted any tickets, but I did not expect the morph to go into a Skin.

    Thanks anyways.

If I understand correctly, the first quarter morph is a skin, the second is a personality, the third is a mount, and the fourth is a house. I think people got sick of Indrik mount after Indrik mount after Indrik mount, so ZOS are mixing it up this time. Which is nice, but also a little more confusing as far as how everything fits together.

Morphs will be skin, personality, mount, house. Or something like that. Read the description before buying things.

I did not care about the skin so I didn't buy the parts. (I prefer tarred ugly of the Slag Town Diver over vampire ugly, other than that I have no use for skins.) Still have an unmorphed pet and parts for another and the 1st part for personality morph.

    Hello
Maybe a lot of people were fed up with indriks, but this is quite complicated to understand to have something.
You have it, then you don't have it anymore.
Then you have to take it back and transform it again er BAC +5 ^^
(finally a diploma in computer engineering)
    Good game everyone ;)

Wait, I thought I could change the pet to the skin, the skin to the mount, then the mount to the house...I have to restart the process three times?

I don't want any of the first three, just the house at the end.

I don't want any of the first three, just the house at the end.

For each season, you just need the pet and then the parts to change it into that season's thing.

Same as the Indriks - you made the basic Indrik, then you got the berries to make it into the season special. At which point the basic Indrik was gone, and you needed to make a new one.

So if all you want is the house, you need 1 pet, and the house parts.

For the moment I have the famillier.
    Then the skin.
Then the famillier lost by the skin.
    Then resumption of the famillier.
    And the ongoing customization.
But what am I going to lose lol
Why so much complication to acquire something that should be simple.
We are already in astronomical skill trees or we have to review everything, so when are we going to be able to play and have fun?
Besides, I only redid one character, but I wouldn't want to get lost in what is not the point. But the fact that we want to play as simply as possible and there it is anything but simple.
And so for the house I have no information at the moment and what we will have to have to acquire it.

Ps: thank you Kiralyn2000, so there is no more case to wait for the continuation;)

I'm going to assume that the people confused by this, didn't do the Indrik thing (or weren't around for it). Because it's exactly the same mechanism, just not "different mounts skins".

Or, if this helps - the Unstable MORPHolith. Can be MORPHed into various things.

    So you get the pet.

And then you get the ingredients to morph it into a skin.

At which point you have no pet, because it got morphed into something else.

    Reasonably straightforward, I thought. :|

Now that you explain it, it's simple, maybe you should be hired by them, it will greatly simplify us to know how to understand the thing :)
But we don't all have the same approach to things and that's how I like this world;)

So if all you want is the house, you need 1 pet, and the house parts.

This is good news because I was told I had to do all the steps with every event to finally be able to get the house.

What I want to know now is can we buy the pet now, during this event, and hold on to it for the house later?

Or does the pet have to come from the same event as the house parts?

The pet is the same across all Events.

It will work on any of the 4 things you may want to morph it into.

Oh! Thank you, very helpful...and much more clear than I've seen it stated elsewhere.

I guess that means I wasted tickets getting the parts for the skin; I thought you had to progress one item through four stages, which made sense as a cumulative reward for those who stuck out the whole year., but I guess whoever signs up in Q4 can get the same house I can with a pet and some parts.

It's a little confusing at first but understanding the process makes it simple. As others have said here, you have to collect two sets of things continually to get the current offerings.

    1. BASE ITEM => Unstable Morpholith Pet
Get 3 parts (Deadlands Flint, Rune-Etched Striker, Smoldering Bloodgrass Tinder)
    Combine parts for Morpholith pet

    2. MORPH ITEM => Skin, Personality, Mount, House
Get 3 parts for currently offered morph
Combine parts which will also consume BASE ITEM to create MORPH ITEM

    3. Repeat Both Steps as needed.

As soon as I have the MORPH ITEM, I start collecting the pieces for the BASE ITEM again so I can stay ahead. Toward the end of the event if I am caught up/have both, I will keep as many tickets close to 12 as I can so next event I have enough to start buying pieces I need. By doing this, at the end of all events I will have every morph available as well as the Morpholith Pet as a collectible. It was the same process with the Indrik Mounts.

The funny thing is, I see a lot of players riding indriks. I don't ride them, myself, except on my Altmer characters, since I like my characters to ride mounts that came from their races' home provinces, or that fit their classes. But I still collected all of the indriks, because I like the idea of having a large variety to choose from.

I totally get why everyone was getting tired of the never-ending parade of indriks. But it amuses me that people were griping so much about the indriks, yet they seem to be such popular mounts. :)

If you join the game "late" and can't earn enough tickets during a given quarter's events to buy all of the fragments needed for that quarter's collectible, your best bet is to focus on the fragments that are exclusive to that quarter-- assuming you actually want the collectible for that quarter (such as the skin)-- and worry later about buying all of the fragments that will still be available in future quarters (such as for the morphable pet).

This problem recurs every quarter, when one collectible's fragments are removed from the Impresario's stock and are replaced by the next set of fragments. Fortunately, during the last two years of events ZOS brought back all fragments for a given year during the final event of the year, so hopefully they'll do that again this year and you'll be able to get that 3rd skin fragment.

I think the problem is that turning a basic inderik into a black vs. white indirik makes sense since you are just picking a color. But doing the exact same thing to get a skin vs. a house seems weird since their values are so different.

be careful with the word buy.
We are not all in the same boat on this register.
And we saw different, whether we do things as they should be done or we seek simplicity and we buy.
Maybe we also miss a day and that puts everything to the ground and we are sad that for one day we missed the opportunity to have the object!
Personally, I don't buy anything, except if you have to access an area, there actually we have no choice if we want to set foot there ^^
Putting past items back on sale would be a good thing, however put a let go to say it's okay we'll see later, for those who farm like crazy, they feel disappointed to have taken time to acquire something which normally is unique.
