Furnishing Item inventory

We have the crafting bag, but not a furnishing item inventory. Just doesn't make sense.
When you first get an item it's this imaginary furnishing item inventory. Yet if you place something then pick it up, now it has to go into the bank....why does it not go back to this other system where it doesn't take up storage?
