Read somewhere that an 3 man group would earn the same xp as solo while 4 or more would reduce the xp gained.I remember a while back reading a guide written by kevduit, iirc a group of 2 gives 5% xp bonus.
However 3 or more gives diminishing returns - ie you will get less xp than playing solo.
Maybe out of date now (idk) but it’s a rule I’ve stuck to when trying to level fast.
Edit: to cover both angles, you could potentially argue that if you can clear things faster with a larger group you might gain more xp in the long run due to clearing instances / whatever much faster and repeating (don’t have the maths to back this up though).
The XP goes down in anything higher than 2 people.
Extra ways to get xp bonus:
- 5–15% Alliance War Keep bonus — applies only to XP from kills
- 50-150% Crown Experience Scroll
- 10% ESO Plus
- 10% Grouping
- 50% Psijic Ambrosia
- 10% Rings of Mara
- 2.5–86% Training Trait — applies only to XP from kills

i need some specific number when playing with 3 or 4 players in a group rather than solo or 2. Like i killed a troll and gain 100 exp total, if add another players so both will gain 90 exp for a total of 180 exp or something like that, 3 players 240 exp total, 4 players 280 exp total. So the more the better total exp?

I did some testing with my guildies at the weekend, we did 4x runs of skyreach in a group of 2 then in a group of 3 and when in a group of 3 our XP gained dropped by 41%, the duo group was getting 121k per run, the 3 player groups was getting 86k

86k per or total sir?
If per 121 x2 = 242k total, 86 x3 = 258k total?

No, the best is a group of 2, if you run it solo you get about 106k ish

No, a sky reach run takes us around 4 mins in a group of 2, in a larger group its not much quicker.
You would have to kill things 50% quicker just to match the XP from a duo group, 100% quicker to get a noticeable gain in the gross XP earned
Yeah, definitely not worth it for Skyreach but any thoughts on say BRP (which does drop more xp, but, for me anyway, takes a bit longer to complete 4 rounds vs Skyreach 3 pulls).

Not by playing with an actual group doing actual content...... Yep there ya go Elder Scrolls Offline pretty much sums it up if you wanted to play with more than 2 people for xp gain.
