What are some quality of life features you would like to see in ESO?

For me, it would probably be the option to change the weather or time of day in your house, or being able to switch set ups for builds, similar to changing between outfits.

    Servers that are not 'asleep' 98% of the time!

    In addition to what the others have already said...
    • Event Outfit Style pages not being considered containers anymore and made bankable.
    • Treasure maps made stackable the same way surveys are.
    • random DLC dungeons being a separate queue from regular random dungeons with separate rewards
    • being able to use more than one of the same "unique" item (mostly relevant for DualWield)
    • several changes to the Green CP to make it more open and reduce the need to constantly switch slottables for every single activity
    • Living Dark heal scaling with max health and applying a unique debuff comparable to Engulfing Flames to make Templar tanks relevant in PvE.

    Considering how ZOS just hosed up gear swapping by introducing lag to even that now. Being able to configure and save gear set load-outs, like you do an outfit and then swap between those, just like outfits, with a single select, apply and, done.

    I mean, it's bad enough the lag in this game only gets worse with every update. But now, they had to go so far as bicking up even the character configuration interface. Frackin' awesome. Way to go. Just when we think they can't possible duck up anything worse, they prove us wrong.

    And no, those aren't typo's. They're intentional so the comment can't be removed/hidden/etc. for inappropriate content.

    Yeah, those presets would be nice, especially for console who don't have addons for that. It would be perfect if they then take that addon down so parse dummy cheese stops. Elfbane got needlessly nerfed because people were using that addon to get 5 extra seconds of destro ult in their parse when they wouldn't even use Elfbane in their main parse, by switching the set through the addon in the first 2 seconds while destro ult is still winding up its animation.
    MagDKs who don't switch off Elfbane don't get its effect on their first spell just because of dummy cheese.

    I want to be able to preview locked dyes in the outfit station so I can decide on which dyes to go after. I know there's previews online but a lot of dyes don't look the same on every type of armor so they don't always match the images.

    Good suggestion! And may I add, a preview function for costume dye when you don't have ESO+ active.

    -Dual spec!!!!
    -Enchanting table, alchemy table, and provisioning next to the masterwrit turn in.
    -Being able to activate multiple of the same crafting master writ at once. Making them easier to complete as the arrows will show on the crafting window.
    -On master crafting writs, show us in green text if we have the crafting motif, and abilty to craft the item.
    -Without activating a master writ, allow it to show us where the crafting station is located.
    -Add the undaunted enclave to every major city.
    -Change dyes to 1 dye color permanently unlocked. Instead of three at once for one-use only.
    -Make outfit slots accountwide.
    -Allow us to manually adjust the darkness/lighting while in the outfit/dye-stations.
    -Disable all surrounding lightsources while in the outfit/dye-stations
    -Make a surveybook, to store surveys.
    -Make a motif book, to store motifs.
    -Make a treasuremap chest, to store treasure maps in.
    -Autodestroy the treasure map, when we already have the one we are trying to loot.
    -Expand the inventory to atleast 500 slots.
    -Expand the bank to atleast 1000 spots.
    -Allow us to queue items for research.
    -(like OP) Allow us to set a specific time for our house!

    Being able to swap characters while remaining in the group, so you don't have to be kicked and reinvited if you need to change roles.
    guild traders only show recipes/motifs not known.

    If you use addons, AwesomeGuildStore has a filter for that.

    Jewelry crafting to be more like the other crafting skills
    Hide peoples pets(proc set pets as well)

    2. Direct access to alt character's inventory (or via banker at least)

    These things will save not only player's time, but also server's resources and bandwidth (less transactions and less loading screens)

    As side effect it will speed up process of destroying unused equipment.

    I'd like the launcher to have a drop-down menu with multiple account User IDs to select from for those of us with more than one account, and for those with sole access to a private computer an auto-login without the need to type in the password each time would be handy too.

    I like all the suggestions and will add my own:

    Something (potion, antiquity, or food) that gives the player an hour (or whatever length of time) without being attacked. There are some dungeons I’d like to wander around and appreciate the effort that went into creating them. Or just wander overland and enjoy the scenery. One of those things that I think would add some QOL for players (me included) who don’t always want to kill things.

    Would probably need some balance like no mat farming or no thieving. Would be nice if it still allowed fishing though.

    There's multiple QoL items here. Not only would we not have these enormous pets obstructing world interactables, we'd also considerably reduce the amount of dueling in and around the crafting areas and guild traders.

    There are SO many pets flying, flapping, flailing, and fidgeting at all times now, and it's insanely obnoxious in busy areas. And there's about to be even more of such unnecessary clutter soon, once everyone gets a companion to add to their annoying npc parade... unless ZOS does something smart to avoid this, which I'm not holding my breath on. But it sure would be nice.

    Something like that would absolutely require disabling all harvesting/looting of any kind or it'd be a bonanza for farmers and bots. Like how (unless they changed it or it's fallen out of fashion due to the sticker book) you can farm chests in certain group dungeon* without killing anything, if you're good at cloaking and sneaking and you have at least one person to group, disband, regroup and re-enter the dungeon with. ESO is full of cheesers and bot runners, and trust me, they will exploit any and all things that they can. Some of these people put more time and energy into finding ways to get around playing the game than I do just playing the game as intended.

    * (that I will not name here, lest ZOS thinks I'm encouraging this sort of cheese, and I'm not)

    Speaking of QoL changes, less bots would be nice. The bot issues that have been rampant in this game since launch was one of a dozen reasons that drove me to leave this game for almost 3 years. I was hoping ZOS finally understood by now that honest players don't want to play a MMO that has bots in every corner but I was wrong. They are just everywhere. Delves that drop leads, beaches, Crag, the bank at Elden Root (although the Elden Root guy protested in the zone chat that his 5-6 identical low-level pet sorc toons were NOT bots because i guess he was at the keyboard to unload their inventories at that specific moment).
    PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

    I would like to be able to see what items are listing for on console. I'm playing and get an unusual motif/blueprint/recipe that I already know, and I'm guessing at what to price it for. The add-ons for PC provide listing prices, but on console we have nothing.

    Also, I would like to be able to search for motif/blueprint/recipe that I do not already know. On console, I get to go through the list of everything for sale one item at a time, looking for motif/blueprint/recipe to buy (the ones I do not already know).

    Reduce the RNG PLEASE

    I spend more time trying to get items than I do actually playing the game and enjoying the content the devs work hard to make. I literally haven't even finished the alliance questlines yet and I've been playing since before One Tamriel because almost all of my time is spent getting items and sets and the rest. I spent 3 months (and am by no means exaggerating anything when I say this) running Maelstrom Arena EVERY SINGLE DAY trying to get the Maelstrom's Inferno staff. I ran it over 100 times and finally got the staff after 3 months. Three months. T H R E E M O N T H S.
    It's absolutely absurd how abysmal loot mechanics are in this game and if I wasn't a diehard Elder Scrolls fan, I would have dropped this game a year ago.

    If they would made arenas work more like dungeons do where you get keys for completing arenas that you can use to buy the arena weapons that would be locked behind achievements in order to purchase (like the achievement furnishers) then that would solve all of this. Say if you want the Perfected Vateshran Inferno Staff, you need to get X amount of keys, have the Vateshran Hollows Conquerer Achievement, maybe some other themed achievement like Fire Walker since it's for the inferno staff, and you can then purchase that staff from the questgiver. Rather than running the thing hundreds of times and have RNG mechanics screw you over for literal months.

    Most other RNG mechanics aren't that bad but the arenas are exceptionally awful. This reply wouldn't be complete without me mentioning that I spent 65 keys trying to get Zaan's Epaulets. But usually undaunted coffers aren't that bad. Much better than its original implementation.

    Many other great things have been mentioned before, but since it's something I really care about, I'll repeat it anyway:

    A better survey system! Don't force me to ride away and back or to log out and in to refresh the node, just give the materials for all the surveys on the character when interacting with the node.

    -No longer let delve, overland, and public dungeon mobs attack players over CP 1000(make this an option).
    -(already mentioned by someone else) Add an option to guildstores to only show still unknown motifs/recipes/plans.
    -Jewelry crafting hireling.
    -Questlog increase to 50 quests.
    -Give main quests, regular quests, daily quests, and prologue quests different color questmarkers.
    -Add a catch-up mechanic to gain skyshards from zones we do not want to go to/can't go to yet(random excavation drop?).
    -Add more character slots per acount, atleast 50 slots.

    • The Fence assistant should be able to Launder OR sell at the regular rate.
    When considering the fence interaction limit, there is no point to this assistant aside from emergency inventory cleanup. A dedicated thief will want to return to the Outlaw Refuge to make more money per day and to launder. The assistant serves no purpose, because you can't use it to save motif pages etc from being taken by guards nor does it help a dedicated thief go about their business because of the loss in efficiency. If our assistant does either of these, she will immediately become actually useful.

    Siege can't ever stack because each of them contains data about the durability of the item.

    Preview skins, costumes, polymorphs, and personalities you have not collected. You can do the ones in the crown store, but not the ones acquired in-game via achievements or other sources. How do I know if I want them if I can't see a sample of what they look like?
