Is trolling people on TG/DB dailies a thing now?

Hi All

I am curious about a weird thing that has never happened to me before. I have a couple new characters I made on NA and EU respectively, and am leveling them through the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Having some fun, since it's been a long time that I did this content and a nice break from my mains. For the last 6 days in a row, I have had some players trying to grief me while I was sneaking to pick-pocket, or to use my blade of woe per my dailies. I have never encountered this in all the years I have been here. Is this a new thing now? To just run up to someone who is sneaking in wait, and jump on their head, throw any and all effects on them, yell at them in PMs, etc?? It has happened on both NA and EU. It was kind of funny at first but after so many repeats, I am wondering was there a memo on this missed?

I know there are people who post here periodically complaining about the 'justice' system, their 'immersion' being ruined by town NPCs being slaughtered all over the place, etc. But I've never seen them mention trying to actively mess with TG/DB players.

It isn't usually a thing, and if you ask them to stop and they don't, you can report them.

I get it regularly in Vivec when I go on my "nab and stab" tour of the city. Mostly it seems to be "roleplayers" who are pissed I'm "ruining their immersion". Guess they've never heard about the Dark Brotherhood or the Morag Tong.
Last time I invited the guy to a duel, then mopped the floor with him. And that character isn't even very well specced so this dude must have been bad .

People get pissed off that you kill the NPCs. They don't realize that many NPCs hold more than 3 items and so pick pick stab can often result in missed loot. The farther down the rabbit hole you go, the better the rewards so it's best to pick till empty.

Then they get salty because the NPC is killed with the blade of woe. Again they dont realize that you can't pickpocket again unless they die and respawn.

People are just irate you know the game better.

Well, to some people you're breaking the law. They on the other hand are attempting to help the authorities.

Personally I've always thought players killing npcs should be flagged for pvp. I'm sure that would make things more interesting.

However, I haven't a clue about the individuals bothering you. PMing you and yelling at you seems to be going a bit far all things considered.

Back in the day, the justice system was gonna allow for players to be thieves or thief-catchers. This is sorta the next best thing.

I have no idea where these dailies take place so I wouldnt have done it intentionally but....

Occasionally when I have time to kill and I see someone sneaking about pickpocketing or murdering I'll good off and put things in yell chat like "GUARDS!!!"

When I was farming NPCs in Vivec for style pages, sometimes competing players would try to mess with me presumably so that I would go away and leave them a clearer farming area. Nothing they do actually affects you in any way other than mentally, unless they get behind an NPC with you, and then at least you get a drop on the kill if you get one pickpocket in.

That is what happens when administration interfere in game process.

And i say before that for game functions no punishment must be added !

I am really interested, how will this go, if t-bag was harrasment and mud balls - why both of this is not ???

I would report them for harassment / interfering with your game.

The game has this function built into it, and it therefore expects players to kill npcs, pickpocket and steal things. You also need to do these things to complete dailies. To interfere with is to prevent someone from playing the game as it should be played.

Rpg is all fine, but not when it interferes with actual gameplay.

Mud ball was in game function too like t-bag.

So each of them should report rach other for harrasment ))

And if kill NPC is not harrasment, like mud ball was - then it looks even more strange

Hey, before you tumble off the slippery slope, maybe ask yourself why you are defending bothering people who are playing the TG/DB content as intended? Players should be able to play the Justice System content they paid for. If you are messing with someone who's playing as intended and they ask you to stop, a polite person stops.

Let's not be disingenuous here: yelling and spamming emotes at people in sneak doing justice system content isn't intended gameplay. Its just being rude and messing with people.

Its only how you think and protects ONLY your point of view.

And I can find a lot of thinks that really are harrasment, but do not treat like that by ZOS.

And I do not see reason for discrimination one kind of people by another part - just because they like how it is.

So or - all in game actions excluding chat - is not harrasment, or all thingth even small group of people dislike is harrasment.

Or it is descrimination.

And if you say that mud ball is harrasment, whyle mass murder of innocent NPC people near other players is not, I think i can find people who will say, that you advocate impunity of maniacs propaganda in the game.

And if one in game function, ( I pay by the way for) - treat as harrasment, why other is not ?

I see discrimination in it.

And I find a lot of people easy that do not like that NPC are killed. They will be happy if they can protect them and PK player who do so, why can not they ?

Do people who farm NPC be happy if other players start PK them ?

We want PK such players, why can not we ?

Watch how players kill innocent NPC is harrasment for some players - do not forget it.

‘Breaking the law’ is part of the game.

Harassing players because you are rpg’ing a ‘good’ character is not.
