losing gold at crafting stations

So far, on 3 charachters, i have lost about 9,ooo gold on each one interacting with a crafting station. i hit "e" and then hear the "ka-ching" of gold being spent. has anyone else seen this? could it be an add on banking issue?

Whoa. Nothing you can do at a crafting station should cost gold, and no charge should ever be made without a confirmation. This sounds like a serious bug.

The only time I have seen gold automatically leave my pockets is with an addon that automatically repairs when interacting with a trader (not a craft station). I would definitely make a video of this and report it ASAP if that is really what is going on.

I think Dolgubon Lazy Writ Crafter has a button you can press to sent the author a donation if you choose, but you have to confirm it several times, and you have to actually click that button.

I talked to a friend and they said the same thing happened when scrying came out. It may be add-on related, so zos won't help with that. I just deposited all gold on all toons into the bank (pain in the butt with 17 of them). And yes, I am positive it was not with a trader or at an outfit station.

Well, the addon redistributes Champion Points, which costs 3k to do. That's not uncommon on PC, like if you want a different CP distribution for PVP vs your PVE trial guild or some such.

However, if you have low CP so you have it set so you redistribute your CP to get Meticulous Dissasembly every time you craft, then redistribute your CP again to get a different slottable when you stop crafting...well, that's a quick 6k gold down the drain every time you access a crafting station.

Or in the case of the other thread, the addon appears to be paying to redistribute CP even when it didn't need to, so that may just been a case of a poorly coded addon. I dunno.

Anyways, addons that pay 3k to redistribute your CP into your preset loadouts instead of manually are pretty normal. It's just that this is an example of redistribution happening more often than needed and or wanted.
