The lead drop rate is bugged and has been for quite some time. I see people from june 2020 on other forums saying it drops after like 8-30 bloodknights which just isn't the case. I have been farming greymoor caverns for quite a long time. I have seen it drop 8 times. Here is what has consistently happened: I spend DAYS to WEEKS of my time trying to get it each time taking the most efficient farming route I can possibly take every time being able to kill as many as 200 per hour if I book it and get the crits. I literally spend 2-12 hours each of these days doing this. It takes well over 1000 bloodknight or bear kills every single time and I KNOW it takes this many because I have had stacks upon stacks of vampire dust every time. Kyne's aegis doesn't drop it on normal. Castle thorn doesn't drop it on normal. World bosses don't drop it. Dogs and cats don't drop it. So unless you want to tell me that I have such COSMICALLY BAD RNG that I can contact a scientist to prove that luck exists and get a Nobel Prize IT IS TIME TO ADMIT THAT IT IS *** BORKED AND TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Any advice people want to give is appreciated. If this is the intended drop rate then maybe increase it by like 10,000,000% Yeah thanks.

When Greymoor first dropped, the drop rate was extremely high and you could see 5+ drop in a single run of Kyne's Aegis. Post-Markarth I suspect ZOS flipped the coin in the opposite direction - I have not seen one drop for months.

Oh it's been that bad for me the whole time.

Think I have only gotten it once but then again I have not been specify looking for it either. RNG must hate really hate you and neither has hasn't it taken a shine to me.

Like I said, I really can't logically blame RNG at this point. It's simply broken. It could be that RNG is broken itself. That wouldn't surprise me. See I think that they should have it work like this. If you don't something it from an enemy that can drop that thing they should have a little invisible bar fill up. How much it fills up is based on the chances of whatever you looted dropping that thing. Once it is full you just get one anyway. This would reward hard working grinding and no one would lose. Of course if you get that thing the bar resets no matter how you got it.

I legitimately thought that they were only allowing us to get it once, I farmed for it for a while after the first one and when I didn't see it after three days of that I assumed it was a one-off and gave up.

Like I said. I have farmed 8 to my great exhaustion. What do you think of my idea on how to fix broken RNG?

I have killed 2000+ bloodknights and many other enemies since I started farming it this time. They might have REDUCED it.

OKAY so I finally got one. For posterity sake I will now type out what I had to do to get one to drop. I killed 2700+ blood knights, an uncounted amount of other vampires likely totaling well over 1200, around 300ish gloomspore creatures, and an assortment of random other things in the greymoor caverns totaling no more than 400. I did 2 kyne's aegis, 14 castle thorns, the entirety of the main story of Western Skyrim, 5 side quests in the caverns, 4 Vampire feeding grounds, and 20 harrowstorms. In the end, a bloodknight outside the front gates dropped it.It took me 10 days of farming 2-12 hours in a day. I made two tickets and 3 forum posts. ZoS treated me like a child and tried to pretend that it was truly just random, refusing to even answer the most basic of questions like "what is the likelyhood if it dropping from a bloodknight?" @Minyassa @Hotdog_23 @Ankaridan IF ANYONE IS HAVING TROUBLE KEEP AT IT OR SIMPLY GIVE UP. ZoS WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Holy crap. This is absolutely not fair. What if we're making a design that requires a pair on either side of a path or some such? RUDE.
