My healer is an off-meta Dragonknight so I go flame actually. With the fire status effects rolling in I don't have as much of a sustain issue and can afford to invest in more spell damage. Means more damage and higher heals coming from me, but at the cost of no minor vulnerability/brittle. Why I use Spell Power Cure so I'm not a complete waste when it comes to boosting group DPS, but I do sometimes run Molten Armaments or Fragmented Shield to proc the minor brutality buff if the tank is not a DK and I have some stamina DPS in my group.

Can't you run combustion and stagger on healer still though?

The whole point of the flame staff is to proc combustion more often, and stagger comes from the alternate morph of DK's burst heal, so a healer probably isn't running it.
Depends on the content. But lightning dead. D. E. A. D. dead.
So, either Flame or Ice backbar w/ resto front bar.
Or double destro if we don't need a ton of healing.
My healer is a Warden; Hiti's, Winter's Respite, Rkugamz sets. I run Resto frontbar and Lightning backbar. I'd probably run Ice more if I knew what the "shields" from my blockade actually did, because the tooltip is useless and I frankly can't tell if they do anything other than create more visual noise on my screen.
