Do you use a frost staff on your tank?

Used to, might do again in future.

The shield is handy.

Have pretty much always used a staff of some description with nb tank even before the changes to 1-hand weapon enchants kind of forced the 2-hand weapon for effective crusher deployment.

Depends on how I want to make my character. My NB Tank uses Backbar Frost Staff, the Sorcerer Tank uses Lightning Staff, My Stamina Templar Tank uses Bow Secondary, and my Magicka Warden Tank uses Dual Frost Staves.

I used the old frost staff on my MagBlade for fun. Heavy Attack taunt + Inner Fire as a backup for the times I was too slow. But I'm pretty sure they took away the AOE slow from Wall of Elements, which was the main reason I liked it.

My MagSorc tank/DD for random normals just uses Inner Fire + Lightning Staff.

Now that the game does not crash anymore after using Wall of Frost, I happily use my Frost Staff again.

I do not have the Tri-Focus passive, though. That one messes up my sustain balance and the shield is entirely useless, imo.

I backbar 2H because I enjoy it and it fits the character of my tank. Not built to be BiS but to leap on the enemies, pull everything and survive — it is fun!

I use it to proc the Crusher Enchantment and a way to block with and restore magicka. Also might use Pulsar to give myself minor protection for the fun of it.
