in short, I love it, and I dont think ill leave till the game dies.

So what have I done in one month of play so far? I reconnected with an old friend whos been playing for longer than I have, and im starting to make friends in the first guild I joined.

Im also in the mid-40s for level. Yes, many of you will call that a serious grind, heck, my guildies have warned me a few times, “take your time, theres no rush”. I totally get what their saying, I should'nt play so hard, I wear myself out. the thing is, whenever im on, I just want to keep doing stuff, I want to keep having fun.

I have to say its ironic, I played the beta, but couldn't play release because of the sub model. Then when I heard it was changing a year later, I remember thinking, well this game may not last long, so I forgot about it.

Then found out recently the old friend has been playing for as long as he has, so I decided to give it a shot. Now here we are one month later. Im looking forward to really piling on the hours in this game.

If you can't afford an ESO+ subscription, you're cutting yourself off from most cosmetic and decorative things in the game and much of crafting.

    Otherwise you'll be fine. :)

    Enjoy!

    much of crafting.

Not necessarily. I played for a few years without an ESO Plus subscription, and my main had no trouble becoming a master crafter during that time. But I had to use several alt characters as mules to hold my excess crafting mats, and it eventually got so tedious trying to juggle things between my main, my bank, my storage chests, and my alts that I finally gave in and subbed to ESO Plus. I'm so very glad I did, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it; but players can still enjoy the game-- including all of crafting-- without a sub.

I still haven't gotten into the outfit system and dying my gear, but yeah-- you do need ESO Plus for that.

So you didn't enjoy crafting without ESO+, but you believe other people can? :)

Welcome and have fun :) Remember that its the most important part.

My main advice is getting into one or two social guilds they are a lot of fun and add so much fun and support.

You might thing about creating a couple of extra characters soon. That way you can start level up their riding skills and they will help you later on.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Glad people are enjoying this game. There's so much to do!

I'd recommend playing through the questlines in order, see player guides for info.

    Enjoy!

Huh? Who said I didn't enjoy crafting without ESO Plus? I played for close to 3 years without ESO Plus, and had absolutely no problem researching all traits in all crafting lines and doing daily crafting writs during that time. If I hadn't enjoyed crafting, I wouldn't have kept doing it.

My inventory problems were largely due to my tendency to hoard, especially junk I really don't need. Some of that was stacks upon stacks of low- and mid-level crafting mats that I was only hanging onto in case someone ever asked me to craft a set of L20 gear or whatever, but most of it was treasure maps or crafting surveys I wasn't getting around to doing, or master writs I was saving because I hadn't learned specific pages of specific motifs yet and refused to buy them from guild traders because at that time I had the attitude that I refused to spend gold on anything I could get myself through the game. And I could have created another mule alt to take the burden off of my other mule alts. But I finally decided, after playing ESO daily for nearly 3 years, that subscribing to ESO Plus was well justified.

The OP has been playing for less than 2 months. And you're telling them they can't get into crafting and enjoy it unless they get ESO Plus now? I'm thinking they've still got plenty of time to focus on the more standard ways of increasing inventory space, like riding lessons, purchasing all pack upgrades, purchasing all bank upgrades, purchasing all storage chests, and perhaps creating a mule alt if absolutely necessary, before they need to subscribe to ESO Plus to solve any inventory issues. Also, they might want to give it time and see how often they play ESO, and whether they think they'll still be playing 6 months from now, before deciding to sub.

And besides, the new sticker book system means that some of the stuff I'd been hoarding could be deconstructed to get that space back. That's a big difference right there.

But as I said, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ESO Plus. That doesn't mean I'm going to tell new players they need it in order to enjoy the game.
