Cyrodiil ideas

Brotherchaotic
Wanted to know if there were ideas to make Cyrodiil better. I had a couple ideas if they are possible.
Have the Deadra attack keeps/outpost occasionally with a world boss.
Have the choice to make the keeps or outposts offensive or defensive. Defensive, the NPC guards would and patrol around (like they do now but add a little more). Offensive, the guards would march to one of the connecting keeps to assist with attacking a neighboring keep or outpost.

Bring VD back. Just a swarm of zergs running around faction stacking all over the place lol.
  • Brotherchaotic
Maybe even add some roaming world bosses that attack keeps until defeated. The boss should have ridiculous stats or just be a dragon. Cyrodiil hasn't really changed. Test something like this out.

Why would you want more PvE in a PvP zone? They had to remove deer to reduce the server load.
  • Brotherchaotic
There's already PvE in Cyrodiil. All the delves that give double AP. Just spitballing. Just feel like there is something missing.

I don't know if making it "better" is my main want for it.
I kinda just want it to be a bit more varied.

The bases we fight for have been the same for a long time, maybe a visual or achitechtural rework for some of them so the places stood out more unique, Cyrodiil spans such a huge area of different cultures yet the keeps and castles are the same on all sides.

Do I care for improving myself? Sure.
Do I care for being good? Not that much.
    Casual PvP enjoyer.

I actually like the idea of wandering/random bosses showing up and attacking keeps. Could be interesting. Especially if siege could be employed against them.

The idea of sending npc guards to attack keeps doesn't really work. The npc's are a triviality to kill so would be mostly useless offensively. They'd need to be buffed significantly to make a meaningful impact on a fort attack. And that could really mess with balance.

And of course I wouldn't want anything of the sort implemented if it is going to make Cyro performance worse than it already is.

If they can't do it in Cyrodil then I would certainly like to see it in a New PvE Zone.

Imagine it like a new dolmen system. Here is an old idea I had a while ago....

    "Dolmen Siege Defense" activity
Basically it is like defending a keep in PvP but instead as a PvE activity where players deal with very large mobs of enemy NPCs.

    A Detailed Explanation:
There are three keeps on the map. Both players and enemies will have access to siege weapons & materials, but they are restricted to the Keep area.
Players must first capture the keep by reaching the center chamber. This is the easy part.

Players can take the keep by force or find ways to sneak in like the Grappling Bow posts at the corners of the keep (which are also useful for getting back in if they fall).

When they are successful they earn the first reward chest.
Once they have captured the Keep, they will have a limited time to repair the walls and prepare their defenses before the first wave of enemies arrives.

Players defend the keep from five waves of enemies. Players must prevent the enemies from reaching the center chamber.
Enemies will attack the wall with siege weapons and find ways to sneak in using portals.
Each round ends when the players kill a certain number of enemies. Each round will escalate till the critical point of the 5th wave.
On the 5th wave a Boss is summoned to attack the keep. Players have to kill the Boss to win the 5th round, and will earn a reward chest upon completion.

If the enemy mob reaches the center chamber they can still be beaten back. If the Summoned boss reaches the center chamber then that will result in an automatic wipe and the enemy wins. The Keep resets.

I say make the inner keeps the open world portion of cyrodill to reduce server load. Then make the rest of it instanced alliance battles and/or pve areas. Cloud ruler temple could be a new dungeon as well.

If you truly wish to improve the war in cyrodil then you need actual leadership for factions. That means in game tools and positions with Quasi-authority, that can select targets that faction members would get bonuses for capturing and issue ultimatums and objectives that other player could participate in. Such leadership would have to be a volunteer of high ranking pvp players that would gain a measure of AP by number of faction members that participated in their objectives. And when that leader leaves pvp they would be required to elevate another faction member qualified to take the position. And spitballing here but each faction could have a offense/defense leader position available. This would improve the direction and purpose for grouped/ungrouped faction members that wish to play the faction war. Hopefully it would encourage smarter play and large battles. Of course there would be no penalty for going off on your own, since not everyone is there to fight big battles.

    New Faction
    Marauders
Goblin-ken or Minotaur, no Emperor, & bonuses for attacking & taking 1st place faction/keeps/resources/players. Home cave (keep) added.

    Design
New faction unique skins/architecture for keeps, towers, resources, & siege.

    PvE in PvP
Less number of no-name npc's replaced with faction unique Elite defenders, similar to strong zone bosses (💀) in PvE land. Elite Defender's skills & attributes added & upgraded with AP, a lot of AP.

Keep resources (farm, mine, lumber) no long auto upgrade keeps and new Elite Defenders, players now must "feed" & protect resource runs.

    Gear
PvP weapons and monster sets, similar to pve arena/dungeons, but w/a built in PvP benefit. Only attainable through PvP.

OR just have roving armies of daedra going around. They are coming out from the City & Anchors after all. Lots of interesting monsters in the daedra ranks.

Re-do the keeps, make them more individual and not a copy and paste of eachother, add some bulit in defences like a massive oil pot over the main gate. Make taking a keep harder and mean something more. add the new models and textures that are coming with the new chapter make the keeps look like castles.

Add more daedric/aedric weapons. There were another two planned-more please.

Make it more like a war zone, add some front line battlements in strategic places on the map.

    No. No. No. No.

Cyrodiil is a PvP zone. We don't need the already overloaded servers overloaded with PvE monsters. Please stop trying to "improve" Cyrodiil. It needs stabilising, it needs less lag. The kind of things suggested are just going to destabilise the server all the more increasing the lag

Technically the delves are not in Cyrodiil. If you enter a delve at poplock, you won't be able to reenter Cyrodiil through the door.

I agree, in my suggestion I would like to cut half the npc's at keeps & resources replaced with one upgradable Elite Defender & actual players defending and upgrading.

Leave Cyrodiil to the PvP'ers. No need to implement more Pve stuff there, for that you have almost entire Tamriel to play PvE stuff.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

Some people think separating the three zones of the map with a loadscreen might fix some of the lag, or at least compartmentalize it so that a major fight in one area wont effect the other side of the map. Milegates/bridges and the goatpaths will have to be completely redesigned for this to work though.

I think that making the score based on total ap earned by the alliance would work out better than the current system.

As it stands right now, the faction with the biggest offhours population is likely the one that will win. But the problem is that most keep takes during offhours are basically PvDoor with the odd scuffle thrown in while Primetime (the time most people who PVP are actually playing) has big fights constantly, but only has a very small effect on the score, often giving the impression that primetime players are unimportant.

With the current system any fight that is not taking or defending a keep is almost pointless, but with the proposed system fighting in the field will actually matter. This might help in decentralizing the action away from just the keeps and possibly reducing the lag.

They took out more than half of stuff since 2014 for "performance" issues and i dont think they will will add this... Maybe in Eso 2
