House Traveling Questions

I thought I had read that in this patch we would be able to leave/travel outside of our house for free. Was that never implemented?
Also, when I click to travel to the inside of my house (grand psijic villa) it never brings me inside -- I always get placed outside. Anyone else having this issue?

It's been working as advertised for me. Black Vine Villa, one I have right now, has a gate that leads to a courtyard, that then lets me go inside the actual house. When I travel inside, it puts me in the courtyard, which is where it should put me, since that's where the door puts me when I use it from the map.

Hmm, maybe the travel to inside is just a bug with the Grand Psijic Villa then.

Are you able to wayshrine out of the house for free? I thought I had read about or saw a video talking about how we could wayshrine outside of our house for free -- but I'm still getting charged gold.

Traveling to the inside of the Grand Psijic Villa should put you on the circular pool of whatsit that serves as its exit portal back to Artaeum, just as it always did before.

Traveling to the inside of any house should put you just inside its entry point, as though you just entered from whatever zone it's located in. For some housing that will be inside the house or apartment itself, but for other housing it will be in a courtyard or other large "exterior" space.

Traveling to the outside of any house should put you just outside its exit in whatever zone it's located in-- so in the case of the Grand Psijic Villa, that would be the circular pool of whatsit that's just outside the museum or whatever.

You've misunderstood what has been implemented.

You now have the choice of where your house travel takes you.

1. Inside the house - this takes you to the spot in the house that travelling to the house has always taken you. It doesn't mean that where a house has an outside and an inside it will travel you to inside the actual physical house.

2. Outside the house - this takes you to outside your front door. I.e. where you end up when you exit the house. This does not mean where a house has an inside and outside that you are selecting the outside part of the house. You are selecting the street outside of the house and grounds as it were.

Wayshrining from a house hasn't changed and still costs money

Ah, yes, thank you for the replies. I did misunderstand. I thought "inside" meant that you could travel to the inside of the actual house (indoors). Thanks for the clarification.
