Do You Hate the New Theme Song?

I absolutely despise this new theme/intro song. It sounds like a cheesy recreation of some 1990s adventure type game. Please change the intro song ASAP!

I think it's the weakest so far, which is pretty far from thinking it's bad, much less "despise."

The part with the solo vocalist is great, and I'm disappointed when it ends right when my character finally logs in : p

It's definitely more mainstream as far as style, but still well-executed. I get excited and hyped every time I hear it—I wish it was in-game somewhere.
Maybe some musician can come lecture us about the chord structure and use of mellirhythms or something

It reprises many of the single player TES games - while it's not as chill-making as the main themes from Oblivion and Skyrim it's still wonderful, I love it, and thank the goddesses I don't have to hear the *redacted* theme from last year any more (though I do have to say that Markarth's music was INFINITELY better than Western Skyrim's).

That’s a loaded question.

That said it’s nice to get back to a more action oriented rendition of the Elder Scrolls theme after the relaxed Greymoor and Elsweyr ones.

I don't like it since it has some of themes I love, but Brad did it again by tearing them up, adding new notes, and other stuff that makes the song grating on the ears.... if you knew the original theme at least.

At first I thought it was underwhelming, but it started to grow on me. I still prefer Morrowind theme, and would set the game to Morrowind music if I could.

And a nod to some of the Cyrodiil music, because sometimes while I'm running in the wilderness I just have to stop and enjoy a moment of music.

IMO The score itself is lacking and the vocals are very jarring. I am glad some enjoy it. I will do what I did with Greymoor...mute @ launch time.

The song is better than the greymoor theme, but not good. I don't like both of them. They are too loud and evil.

Summerset, Elsweyr, Morrowind and the original theme were great.

It sounds like music from a kids animated movie to me.

There are parts I like but it’s overly dramatic for the most part. Then it gets slow, sort of a mush-mash of stuff. Wishing for Elsweyr main theme again.

"Despise" is a strong word.

But I thought the calm solemnity of the Greymoor violin was a lot less stress-inducing whenever I got booted. Now that ouroboros yells at me.

As for the tune itself, I feel like it's a little lacking in clear identity. It's very cacophonous. Maybe it'll grow on me with time.

I never look much into video game music as it's just background music. It's not like a it's the lead single off of a new Weekend album where we need to critic it.

It sounds to me like different pieces were somehow patched together. I can't say that I find it horrific (better than Greymoor in any case), but I'm not euphoric either.

I haven't spent much time listening to it. A lot of the time I can't have the sound on at all when I'm playing ESO, and at other times I'm just focused on logging into a character so I don't hang around on the login screens to listen to the music. As a result it's not that important to me how it sounds, the music in the game itself is more important.

I like the vocal part. It would be better if the whole melody was like this. Otherwise, this is just a common generic theme.

I like it better than last year’s theme song. Greymoor was too somber for me. Yes, I know the song’s mood fit with the story, but once the story is complete, I’ve moved on to other content, which may or may not fit the theme.

Its pretty scatterbrained tbh. I don't know what it has anything at all to do with Blackwood or the Deadlands...

Usually TES music is 100% on point but this one although I don't hate it is not my favorite.
