Skill / Spell Categories & Champion Point Bonuses

So, we have several stars that improve our damage and healing capabilities. Some of these stars are:

1. Focused Mending: stronger single target healing
2. Swift Renewal: stronger healing over time
3. Soothing Tide: stronger area of effect healing

4. Bastion: stronger damage shields

5. Deadly Aim: stronger single target damage
6. Thaumaturge: stronger damage over time
7. Biting Aura: stronger area of effect damage

The question now is, which skill gets which bonus and if skills get multiple bonuses. This is based on applying tooltip logic to them as they're doing more than one of the said things at the same time. Some skills for reference:

A.Cleansing Ritual: area of effect healing over time

B. Healing Ward: damage shield and healing over time

C. Unstable Wall of Frost: area of effect damage over time that grants damage shields

D. Ring of Preservation: area of effect healing over time

E. Honor the Dead: single target heal
vs.
F. Breath of Life: two target heal

So, let's try to distribute the stars to the skills and see which star should affect each skills:

A : 2 + 3
B : 2 + 4
C : 4 + 6 + 7
D : 2 + 3
E : 1
F : 1 or 3?

What's the rule of thumb here? Especially in the last case with the two different morphs I am unsure. What is Breath of Life, it's healing two targets so not really area of effect, but it's not single target either?

    You can add those champion stars and check the tooltip afterwards to find out, just look for a change in tooltip value.

    Skills can be affected by multiple bonuses if applicable. For example, Nightblade's Swallow Soul skill gets increased healing from both Single Target Healing and HoT increase stars. Depending on the skill, it might only get a 10% bonus, or it'll get both for a 20% bonus. Of course it still gets a damage increase from the Single Target Damage star as well.

    There is still an issue with Templar's Sun Shield and the "Reduce the cost of Damage Shields" star though. It didn't work on that skill in the PTS and I think it carried over to the Live server despite having mentioned the issue, however it still works on Bone Shield, Light Armor's Shield, Shields from Gear Sets, Sorcerer's Conjure Ward, etc.
