Questions About Upcoming Jester's Festival

ok..so the Jester's Festival starts next week.. Thursday 25th March and runs through Thursday 1st April (which is 7 days). We will get 1 gold box per day, plus a chance for other regular reward boxes.

In the boxes, we will have a chance to find the following prizes:

Cadwell’s Kitchen Arms Style Pages
Fragments of two Mementos: the Festive Noise Maker or Jester’s Festival Joke Popper
Jokey Stealies to sell to vendors
Runeboxes containing the Cherry Blossom Branch or Jester’s Scintillator mementos
Fragments of the Sovereign Sow pet
NEW Regal Regalia Outfit Style Pages
NEW Fragments of the Playful Prankster’s Surprise Box memento
These fragments have a higher chance of dropping in Stupendous Reward Boxes than they do in regular ones.

This says that only the fragments have a higher chance of dropping in the stupendous reward boxes than the regular ones...meaning the other stuff will just have a normal chance of dropping.

Outfit style pages generally come in a group of 7 different pages. How are we supposed to get both outfit styles filled by the end of the event without buying them from the empersario with tickets we already have, OR buying tickets with money in the store to buy the style pages we are missing?

I am not asking for the event to be extended, just not sure how we can realistically be expected to get all the pages if we want them.

Can anyone tell me.. is it 1 stupendous box per account per day OR 1 stupendous box for each character you have per day?

yes i know and i do them on different characters.. but generally, the better chance of getting a style page comes in the gold/stupendous box you get once per day. so my question again, do you get the gold/stupendous box once per day on each character or is it once per day per account.

Just like the last event, I imagine you get the Gold Box once a day.

However, since this is a Crafting event*, and there are several dailies on each character just for the event there will be tons of excess Style Containers by the end of the month, you can buy what you don't have cheap.


*I think the crafting rewards have the rewards containers in this event.

It's the jesters festival not a crafting event. Prices won't be dirt cheap after because everyone will still need most of them with getting a chance of only once per day. They won't be in abundance as with other events.

this isn't the crafting event.. that's the anniversary event. This is Jester's festival.

You are missing the point.. its a 7 day event with 7 NEW Regal Regalia Outfit Style Pages. There will not be alot of them floating around and they will be expensive to buy i'm sure as there wont be that many.

There will be one gold box per day, but you will have quests with normal event boxes and there you can find style pages also:

"These fragments have a higher chance of dropping in Stupendous Reward Boxes than they do in regular ones." so don't worry it should be a big problem to acquire them.

More disgusting is selling weapon style seperately in Crown Store again..

If it is like every other event, you won't even be able to sell the style pages for 1K each by the time the event is over.

This clearly states that in the ORDINARY boxes you MAY get any of the following...
valuables (to sell to vendors for gold), consumables, recipes, furnishings, Revelry Pies, and fragments of the new Playful Prankster’s Surprise Box memento

It the states that in the gold (once per day) containers you can potentially find one of the following again,

OK so what we know, the new momento will drop in ANY boxes, either gold or purple. We can get 6 purple boxes per day (per character) and 1 gold box per day (typically per account) and that the momento will have a greater chance of dropping from gold boxes.

That leaves us with a 7 day event to get (potentially) 7 different style pages for the NEW Regal Regalia Outfit. Anyone want to cast bets on perfect RNG of 1 page per day, everyday for the entire event without getting any of the other items that MAY drop in gold boxes? Unless gold boxes are earnable per character there will not be an excess of them, there cant be, 7 gold boxes, 7 style pages.

The increased chance they mention is for FRAGMENTS, that relates to the momento, not to the style pages and they specifically state the NEW style pages ONLY drop from the gold boxes. Again, let me state, if per account, 1 gold box per day for 7 days...

The RNG is means the number of pages will vary wildly. Some will get 7 or 10, some will get 1 or 2.

With 8 days and 24 tickets it will be likely people will use 5 or 10 of them on style pages.

They will be sellable, and buyable in guild traders. They will probably be rare, but the last one (Doctrine) was not, so I don't think we'll have that big of a problem with it.

For most that is true, but I wish that I could buy Ebonsteel style pages for under 100k even. So long as style pages have a chance of dropping from event boxes, I am happy. I enjoyed MYM and got lots of boxes but I derive no enjoyment from killing the same NPC over and over so only got one style page that way and spent tickets on a few more.

Every other event the pages could be bought for less than a few thousand gold each and sometimes just a few hundred gold. I wouldn't think this event would be any different.

You aren't even guaranteed one in a gold box that you get one per day. No chance in purple because if you read above it says:

This special box can include the same items as detailed above (purple box), but it also has a CHANCE to contain these items:

The amount of times I've gotten every style page from the gold box in an event I could count on 1 finger.
That being said, if you require EVERY item in this event and have never done it before, the older items usually sell very cheaply in the crown store, aside from Dubious recipe which is required for the royal jester achievement.

Retired my 2nd account and cancelled ESO+ soon as new update came out, since any time spent playing on 2nd account is significant loss to gaining CP on main account.

But for events like this, I plan on using my 2nd account to score another daily gold box and hopefully complete the unique collectibles on my main.

I'm sure 2nd, 3rd, etc account holders are a minority and Zos won't feel the cancelled subs revenue loss, but I wonder if someone in marketing really thought the cp 2.0 grind consequence through. Before, was happy to pay full time 2nd sub even if only played on and off on that account, but I would imagine at least some decent portion of 2+ account holders have cancelled their extra subs.

These things will be flowing like water and people wont be able to give them away by the end.

Guild traders will have whichever one(s) you didn't get for dirt cheap the day this ends.

Just do your dailies to get most and then fill in the rest afterwards.

Don't overthink this.

I'm looking forward to sell my first pages for 100k lol. I do it every event. People worry that they not gonna get them all. And at the end of the event I'll buy them all for 1-2k gold ea lol.

I always thought it was just players with loads of gold that want to be the first to run around in the new style..
