At least 6 so they are balanced around 2 for each alliance. :)

Why do guilds have to be so specialized? I mean, people certainly do all those things (pvp, dungeon, raid, etc) in games where you just have one guild.

I think 10 guilds would be nice. I have a mix of things I like to do, and I feel hindered by the fact that I can only have 5 guilds, especially when 1 guild serves as a glorified friends list (ESO's internal friends list doesn't work for me), 2 are for trades, one is for PVP, and one for trials. Sometimes 2 trade guilds is just not enough.

I totally agree with this, we NEED more guild slots. Hell I'd even be willing to spend crowns to add guild slots, if it's reasonable 500-1k crowns. I know many have been asking for years for more guild slots, but it never happens.

    Agreed.

Whether we like it or not, guilds tend to be specialised. I would very much like to be able to reserve a couple of slots for serious trade, at least one for PVP, at least one for PVE, at least one for Social. Trade guilds tend to be cross-faction, as do PVE and social guilds, but PVP guilds are almost exclusively faction-orientated. So if I run characters in all three alliances, I’m at least two guilds short.

That’s without thinking about housing guilds or RP or other specialist areas of the game.

    More guild slots please !!

There is so much stuff that drops to sell and with 5 guilds we are limited to listing 150 items. Being in 5 trading guilds prevents me from being in a raiding guild and pvp guilds

Being able to turn off certain txt chats would be a nice feature so you don't get overloaded with msgs.

With only five, it limits the amount of trading guild spots a single active trader can take, thus freeing up spots in trading guilds for other players.

I think you can under the chat settings? Just unchecked what you don't want.

I am only in one guild. They are a trade guild but also participate in many activities from group fishing to vet trials. The only thing I want that they don't focus on is housing, so I am also looking for a guild of housing enthusiasts.

My point though is that many guilds have multiple focuses, so you don't need a separate guild for each activity you enjoy.

Many guilds may have multiple focuses but they lack the members and the experience regarding the focus. It is a jack of all trades but master of none guild.

Trading guilds will not have the high density of members that want to do vSS/vCR every night.

Trials guilds may have a low tier trader in the middle of nowhere but run vet trials every night.

Personally, I'd like guilds that are extremely good at what they do and have the members to do it. Five guild slots is not enough for my play style.

Not this guild. But if you could join 6 guilds how can you devote enough time to each of them so you don't become a jack of all trades but master of none?

    No ^^

It should be base game improvements, no crowns required! Don't give them ideas ;)

But yes, more guild slots or a change in the way guilds work would be nice. It's rather limiting for some, although it's not necessarly needed these days with discord and it's organistion tools. That said, guilds could use more tools to counter this problem which takes away the shine/immersiion of guild ownership in game.

More guild slots...why not, but if it's to end up in guilds just for LFG this and that, no.

I get your point but the intention is that the members in the guild have the experience to perform the focus at a very high level consistently. The main bottleneck is the 30 listing slots for a trader. I've looked and there is not one experienced PvP/PvE guild on PC/NA that can retain a Mournhold trader every week.

I'd love another slot or two. For more trading guilds but also because I've been playing since launch, I've met so many people who have guilds and I have to drop another guild to join theirs and so on. I'd like to start my own guild, but that would mean leaving someone else's, so it's a bit of a social nightmare as well. This is not to say I'm insanely popular, quite the opposite, I just find it hard to say 'no' when someone asks me to join a guild :D

Most other MMOs only give you the ability to join 1 per character.

Why don't you be grateful for being allowed 5 instead of whining for more?

Why do you need to join more than 5 to be able to trade, pve, and pvp? You just covered 3/5 things right there.

They don't need to be in Mournhold to be viable. There are many other busy towns with successful trader hubs. The one week our guild was at an out of the way site I still sold my items the same day I listed them. TamrieI Trade Center allows consumers to shop around, and yes players will travel to an out of the way spot to save gold.

    Two words: trade slots.

For those who are very serious about trading and multiple activities like PvE, PvP, RP, Housing. 30 slots per guild is not enough.

It is not a huge problem but it will greatly make a small population of the game happy with no drawbacks.

One guild is the norm in most if not all other MMOs, and members actually have a real attachment to their guild which covers all types of gameplay except trading which shouldn't be restricted to a limited number of guilds anyway. I' suspect that those other MMOs don't suffer from the kind of performance issues that plague ESO because they don't have 5 lots of guild data being loaded in every time players log in or change zones.

I would say that having 5 has some benefits, but hurts on the other hand because it waters things down a lot. So many useless guilds go up every single day and many fail to last.

Forgive me if I see you complaining about being limited to listing 150 items and in 5 trading guilds like you have to be, and think if we had more guild slots you'd just be in more trading guilds and not a raiding or pvp guild. :D
