So, what about Ice DPS Builds

It has been a while since a heard the rumours that on a future update they would make ice staff dps a thing
Honestly i didn't gave much credit, but that is something that I really wanted to see in the game, since currently mostly ice staff builds are for tanks (I belive wardens would benefit greatly with it)

So what your thoughts about it? did you guys think it would be nice? or it is something thet would be incredibly dificult to balance in the current game meta?

    I’d like for Ice DPS to be good, at least for Wardens. You can do it currently, but it’s more of a group buff build for Minor Brittle and results in around 5% DPS loss for the user. This is why Brittle usually ends up on a tank or healer for trials, especially now that Lightning Staff isn’t needed on a support.

    Having all three types of elemental staff combined into one skill line has always felt like a lazy development choice to me. Stamina gets three separate weapons each with unique skill lines while Magic gets one skill line with the effects of a couple of skills modified slightly depending on the element.
    If each element type had it's own unique skills it would be possible for Ice staff skills to have some morphs for tanks and others for DPS.

    That, i think would be perfect, Not would would make ice dps a thing, But it would also create a variety of elemental builds that sure would increase the versatilty of the game

    It’s funny... I’ve cited that a viable ice mage build would be one thing that might bring me back to ESO. Before I really knew anything about this game, my very first character was a Breton Warden that I had planned on making my ice mage from Skyrim (very quickly replaced by my main nightblade). I ended up converting her to a healer but I did spend a lot of time toying around with builds.

    In the end, while it was sort of? workable? I just couldn’t get over how my parses would go up significantly with lightning or fire. At least I could have a lot more fun In battlegrounds with it so it wasn’t totally useless.

    I just came in expecting destruction to be treated a little more like other TES games but I get that multiplayer is different. It doesn’t help that enemies in single player can still be affected by stamina drains/debuffs but in a world of non solo, optimized dps ice magic just won’t ever win out over burn dots or defense debuffs.

    Ices staves are in weird positions they lose damage because they are used to bring some debuffs and are used by tanks but at same time the arena ice staves are the same of other elements.
