Update 29 pvp bug?

So with the introduction of the new armor bonuses/penalties and nerfs to crit chance, something really interesting happened in no-cp pvp. Many pvp classes which were focused on crits before, now run malacath for huge damage increase. We now have the broken mythic item that gives free +25% dmg to already high damage builds where the crit chance is no longer viable. Results?

Note: 17k and 16k executes are on 5 light 1 medium 1 heavy build, while the 12k execute is on 5 heavy 1 light 1 medium+shield

Does ZOS consider this a bug, when people fully remove crit chance and go the malacath way for whooping 17k executes? Surely it's not "as intended" by the balancing team.
Secondary addon was used to confirm every hit taken (sometimes it doesn't display correctly, that's why you have side by side view with in-game recap)
Malacath usage confirmed by users btw.

Before u29, maximum execute on low %health was 8.2k on 5 lights. Compare that to 17k lol

I'm confused. Those logs read "critically hits with Executioner"? You said you'd confirmed Malacath (but testing on a generic dummy would be better), so is this a bug with Malacath, or a bug with the output - from the mod or from the API?

    Yeah I’m confused too.

Malacath says it cannot deal critical damage. Hence why it is used in PvP and not PvE.

I wouldn't put much faith into death recaps or any variation of it. You want to prioritize using combat metrics in pvp to get more accurate/real numbers. Death recap has and will always show you the full overkill damage, you could've been at 5-10% HP when those executes occur, in which case anything would've killed you.

On a side note, damage in pvp is really juiced up due to the reduction in mitigation from battle spirit and the base +1k weapon and magic damage that everybody got for free. This will make all skills, including executes hit for very high numbers. Time to kill is at an all time low. Built correctly, Shalks, blastbones, crystal fragments, incap/bow, Leap are all hitting much harder this patch.
