Ancestral imperial style for Imperial Edition players...

You have to pay extra to gain access to the Imperial Race and Imperial style. You have to pay the Imperial Edition.
Of course, the Imperial style is lootable but extremely rare for every players.
What I mean: why not make the Ancestral Imperial accessible to those who have the Imperial Edition? Because the ancestral imperial style is an improvement of the imperial style which today will be deserted. Imperial Edition players will no longer want the old style and will turn to the improved "ancestral" version.
Of course, ancestral styles will be accessible to everyone through the archeology system, but will Imperial Edition holders have an advantage?

The original message. I find my first message too evasive and not precise enough, reflecting my motivation when I writing it.
Today, players who purchased the Imperial Edition in the past have, other than the Imperial race and Pledge of Mara, only things considered obsolete to this day.
- An Imperial Horse, obsolete v1 horse
- A Nibenay Mudcrab... I never understood this choice of pet.
- The imperial style ... Which today is obsolete and will be remaked by ancestral version.

Will players with the Imperial Edition have access to the Ancestral Imperial Style directly in the collection? Or are we forced to do the treasure and archeology maps?

Why would you be given access to an entirely different motif for content you purchased separately? Especially since that motif hasn't even been announced or datamined yet.

If I am talking about this style, it is because it has been datamined since last year.

This is an Imperial Style "upgrade" that is exclusive to the Imperial Edition. The imperial edition which, in terms of cosmetics, is now obsolete.

What is the interest for us to have an obsolete imperial style? A style exclusive to the Imperial Edition. This one is upgraded. So why not as a player with the Imperial Edition have direct access?

When the ancestral orc motif came out, orcs didn't get it for free. I doubt imperials will get their version.

There is a difference between the 9 free races and the paid Imperial race.

I don’t think this is the best way to use the word “obsolete.” The old imperial horse and motif style are still perfectly functional, nothing is preventing them from being used. Obsolete specifically means it’s broken/no longer functioning. Out-dated, sure, but by that definition that means everything in the game from 2014 is out-dated.

Also, too much unneeded hate for the Nibenay Mudcrab pet. Don’t bring that little guy into this!

A style exclusive to the Imperial Edition.

But it's not exclusive to Imperial Edition. It's a motif that, while maybe rare, anyone can get.

This subject is like my current motivation: nothing. I will start from the beginning and avoid getting lost in unnecessary things.

I was just saying imperial style is not exclusive to imperial edition. That said, I don't see why anyone who bought imperial edition shouldn't also gain access to ancestral imperial style when it comes.

I don’t know, the Ancestral motifs have been part of the Antiquities, you have to scry and dig them up.

Even with Imperial edition you should not be able to shortcut this I think.
    Khajiit Stamblade main
    Dark Elf Magsorc
    Redguard Stamina Dragonknight
    Orc Stamplar PVP
    Breton Magsorc PVP
    Dark Elf Magden
    Khajiit Stamblade
    Khajiit Stamina Arcanist

Why do people always want short cuts in this game? It's easy enough to get motifs and styles, you just have to put a little effort in.

The fun of the game is in playing and finding stuff, of going killing monsters, of taking on increasingly challenging opponents.

Why do so many players want to much of the game handed to them on a plate? This is a never ending game designed as such, take time, search, discover, enjoy.

I agree. However, the Imperials have always had an obligation to pay extra. Playing an Imperial and having Imperial armor was my only requirement for playing on ESO at the start.
Today, the Imperial Style will be an abandoned relic for players with the Imperial Edition. It is only natural that those players who have to pay extra want to have access to the ancestral imperial style.

Those who loot it are good for them. But it's not just anyone who will have managed to loot without going through the Imperial Edition.

After that, we don't all have time to farm. We also have a life on the side.
Fun fact with archeology, I haven't looted a single ancestral reach style page from the start.

And? So, if I understand correctly, you want to be given something because you don't have the time to farm for it? And there is a flaw with your argument anyway, a lot of players who have the Imperial race didn't have to pay for it as it was included in a version of the game they bought (without paying extra for it)

I don't have time to farm for Perfected False Gods so can I have it please?

    @MaisonNaevius

So I’ll just clarify what’s going on. The imperial bundle is really just a race unlock, in line with warden and necromancer. You’re essentially paying for a Mount and a race.

The imperial style is rather common as a drop from Cyrodiil Psijic portals. That said those with the imperial bundle get to freely change the style of any armor to the imperial look. That’s different from the fees imposed by the outfit system.

Morag Tong, Swordthane, Divine Prosecution, and Dragon Bone styles all share this apply and no charge feature. That hasn’t changed at all. Imperial and Morag Tong are notably available in game but they’re not common. They’re also original motif styles and rather basic.

Ancestral Imperial is not an upgrade. None of the Ancestral styles are. Rather the original base game motifs were rendered in a basic way and as such aren’t great with new dyes and mixing with new armor styles. The Ancestral motifs are updated riffs partially based on those styles but with more polygons, textures, and better dye applications.

The original motifs will never get free upgrades because players paid real money to purchase them in instances and some of them enjoy them. The new ancestral look to be antiquity rewards for every zone dlc going forward. We should see ancestral imperial and ancestral Akaviri this June. Also expect them to be from Cyro treasure maps.

I always found that rather odd as well.

Fortunately, my Imperial ditches his civility and "goes primal" when he's at war, and therefore only dons Khajiit, Argonian, and Nord gear and foresakes that Roman Legionnaire get-up.
