More hairstyles please

Admittedly I'm not a fan of most of the hairstyles in the game. The texturing looks odd on a lot of them as well. But is it possible to get a loose ponytail style, ala Lara Croft? 🙂

I see a lot of ponytails but they're all really tight styles with no hair coming down on the sides.

Those more "modern" haircuts, as Naryu has for example, do not really fit in the picture in my opinion. It would be more appropriate when the hairstyles would resemble some antique and historical representations.

Still waiting on a bunch of these to make their first appearance, ZOS! It's really annoying to see things like Short Mussed Wave on every other promo shot and still not be able to use it!

Also some of the other hairstyles that haven't seen release in ages like Heroic Poet. At least Casual Rascal is finally popping up after over 3 years, but there are a lot of others that haven't been seen in ages. Going through Vateshran Hollows is just painful since all of the NPCs have DLC hairstyles, and only one of those is available... the others have either never been available (Caddgarn, Aydsil), or (Aydolan) unavailable since 2017.

Not to mention that the festival NPCs we see every year like Breda (Heroic Poet) and Donolon the Baker (Short Mussed Wave) also get these unavailable hairstyles...

It's interesting - the 'Hairstyles' section of the store has gotten no additions at all in 2020, not even LTOs. We got a bit of a bone thrown in the form of a handful of crown crate styles, but nothing in the permanent store. In fact, the only thing that happened there was Standing Wave just disappearing without warning one day. We got nothing new for over a year. And now, the only brand new hairstyle we've even seen since I started playing was the Seafarer Crowning Trim in the Nightfall crates (the Misanthropic Lycanthrope and the Unruly Bangs from the last two crates have been in on NPCs since at least the Wolfhunter DLC, just never available)

...and based on mods of Skyrim, you know these will make bank for ZOS.

Too many different hairstyles in the game at once may slow down the servers and cause performance issues 😉

EDIT: Hmmm, maybe the next Cyrodiil test should be making all the player characters bald! 🤣

I shouldn’t have looked at the thread this post referenced. After reading about the Unruly Bangs style in the Akavari crates I had to part with 40 💎 since it’s so rare and I might need it someday. But the one I really want is Short Mussed Wave.👨🏼‍🦱

At least we got two hair styles returned to the Crown store this month! Really hope we get the long hairstyle worn by Veya and many other NPCs!

I hope it comes back soon too, but seeing adorable assassin & casual rascal returning this month gives me a hunch that it will return in either April or May. Crossing my fingers that we also get short mussed wave in the Ayleid Crown Crates coming this Thursday as well.

In regards to Velsa's/Veya's hair, maybe that will be in the next datamine? The crown store showcase for this month has me hopeful for the upcoming months at least in regards to hairstyles & other cosmetics returning, as well as new ones.

This is my hope as well. Short Mussed Wave, Heroic Poet, and this still-unnamed style Velsa wears are my top three, and I'm hoping that ZOS is finally getting the message that we want these.

I'm expecting the PTS update for Blackwood to go up mid April for the June 1 release, so we should get more info for the Iron Atro crates then, and hopefully that finally gives us a name for this style. It'd be great to see that one come in.

It makes almost too much sense for them to finally release Short Mussed with the Ayleid crates based on the styles we got in the last few and the fact that SMW made it to PTS a while back. I'm trying (and failing) not to get my hopes up though, whenever it looks like there's a pattern is a great time for them to break it. I could easily see them throwing Heroic Poet or another hairstyle (or none!) in instead, or even that Warrior Topknots style - that also got to PTS just like SMW, but nobody really talks about that one.

If they did put up Heroic Poet next month though, there is a great thing to go with it. There's still that Bard personality that was datamined back with the Skald costume, and we haven't heard a word on that yet. Be great to have those two come out together, and I'm ready to throw crowns at the screen for those.

Yup. One of the big reasons I really want the Short Mussled Wave is because it's like the only other short hairstyle we are aware of.
