A small proposal for shock staves

Please make light attacks on a shock staff a small AoE. Even if it is only 2 M, that would be fine.

Ancient Knowledge
Equipping a Flame Staff increases your damage done with single target abilities by 8%. Equipping a Lightning Staff increases your damage done with area of effect abilities by 8%. Equipping a Frost Staff reduces the cost of blocking by 36% and increases the amount of damage you block by 20%.

I always thought it odd that shock staves don't buff their own light attacks and with the loss of the Exploiter passive Shock Staves could use a little love.

Seems like a pretty useless change for PvE, especially considering most bosses are bigger than 2m. In PvP the added strain to the servers of so many little added AOEs seems like it would create nothing but problems for the smallest added bonus.

I think it's intended as a way to get Shock Staves on par with Inferno Staves, at least for Light Attacks.

With the above suggestion, both would give the user +8% damage to their Light Attacks.

i don't disagree with the idea of making the shock light attacks benefit from the bonus damage.

That's exactly the point. It could even be .5 M AoE.

It is one of the huge draw backs of shock staves.
