Is Falenesti in the Deadlands?

Hear me out, Falenesti disappeared from Tamriel at some point in the past and nobody knows where it went, every zone in the game has a hub city but the Deadlands being a plane of oblivion likely wouldn't have a city of friendly NPC's. When you launch the Elder Scrolls Online the launcher has Bosmeri markings carved in the stone and they just released a mount called "Falenesti faithful". In the chapter reveal they said that when we get to the Deadlands we would never want to leave. What are your thoughts on this theory?

I am not expecting Falenesti this chapter or I would think we would have gotten some hint in the reveal. Plus we already have Imperials, Argonians and Oblivion this chapter so it seems like there wouldn’t be room to do Falinestri justice. I would love for it to eventually be a major part of a chapter though! I love the really fantastical aspects in Elder Scrolls!

I think they might save that as it’s own chapter or at least a dlc. Still after “freeing” the city, what happens with it? Where do they place it?
Something that big deserved it’s own chapter/dlc, but I am not sure we will ever actually see it.

I certainly hope they are not wasting Falinesti like that. It's the only territory that we know of that could allow them to create a Bosmer focused DLC/chapter (could be a vertical chapter, 15-20 layers, each being 25% DLC sized).

It's also where all the Imga have supposedly disappeared to, so that would require quite a bit of new assets to do correctly.

It is possible, but also possible this story will continue the City of Ash story. Gilraens final words in City of Ash II are:

Had kinda similar impression, maybe city of ash continuation in 3rd dlc. Didn't they also mentioned falinesti in collectors edition goodies description somewhere?

Hmm, i'm doubtful we will see Falinesti .... that rat *** Rajhims Shadow u encounter in Grahtwood stated that he stole it, tho, no doubt he lies like a flat fish so maybe not true.

It is entirely possible he did steal it. The thing about stolen items though is you need to stash them somewhere, Deadlands would do as well as a place for stashing it as any.

This is exactly what I am predicting for the Q4 chapter. And I was predicting this long before the chapter got confirmed, and we only knew Dagon was involved. There just aren't any cities in the Deadlands by normal circumstances. It's a literal wasteland.

However, Dagon really seems to have a serious interest in Bosmer. Even Mankar Camoran in TES4, while an Altmer in that game, was purpotedly born as a Bosmer, hence the name.

There's also of course City of Ash, also in Valenwood, and takes us to the Deadlands.

I see no other way to have a city hub in the Deadlands than for Fallinesti to be there, somehow taken there in a manner that I would assume is comparable to the Hollow City in Coldharbour.

It is definitely within the realm of possibility to move something that large into Oblivion, and I really don't understand why people have doubts when explicit evidence for this has existed since ESO first launched.

I am not saying it definitely happening, but I do think it is the only logical answer.

I seem to remember that in one of the falinesri site quest, i think th malabal tor one, there was an npc that was conviced it was in a realm of oblivion, and she oppend a portal to it. Deadra poured trough. She left trough the portal at the end

She was convinced she found falinesti

So its possible that she was right and she went to the deathland

I do want to see a continuation of the City of Ash story as Gilraen does have the Razor in her possession (a fact that took me a few runs of CoA2 to properly notice at the end... I'm an idiot lol)

As for the safe zone in the Deadlands, I am unsure if it would be Falinesti. Dagon has ties to Lyg and certain cities are mentioned such as Malbioge: An old "City of Chains" that was "thrown down," said to have been "slaked in newbone-warmth and set Free."

"Slaked in Newbone-Warmth" is possibly one way of saying moved to a place of lava (Newbone-Warmth = Raw Earth bones, which could mean lava= the Deadlands).

I'd prefer Falinesti to be it's own DLC/Chapter as there is so much in it we want to know and explore.

I think one of Rajhin's Shadows stole it because that one elf lady would let him throw it in her. I don't think he would put it in the Deadlands. That sure would be a fascinating twist, though!!

I think it was supposed to be in Mephala's realm tho, not in the Deadlands. In that quest you even interact with Mephala themself. I would like to see Falinesti tho, and this may be the best chance we got for that (and hopefully we'll see the Imgas too). Could be that Falinesti escaped from Mephala's Realm and ended up, somehow, in the Deadlands?
