I Don't understand the functionality of shadowstrike...

So when you use it on a person you become invisible for 5 seconds; great. But every time you use blade of woe again you come out of invisibility and back into it again (assuming no one has hit you back out). So not only do you get a bounty in towns... human mobs you use it on hit you back out from invisibility and you can no longer blade them unless you run away and reset the mob (which in that time you could have just blew them away in well under half the time)

Am I missing the functionality, I mean surely I am considering it takes 50 points to get to and 75 to unlock it...

This should only happen if you are detected during the killing blow. If you are detected you cant cloak anymore.

Blade of woe is a guaranteed killblow. Mobs you use it on are dead and can't hit back. So unless there is another witness the invisibility should work. It would be handy if you just have a small window of opportunity before another mob patrols back your way.

Shadowstrike doesn't allow you to be perma cloaked while one shotting everything with blade of woe, if that's what you were assuming. It works the same as the shadow cloak skill, essentially giving non-SB classes a free cloak to flee more easily in case you get caught.
