What you pve magplars using this patch?

Im playing templar main long ago, but never tested magicka dd so far. So can you share some decent build setups you use for pve side as trials, pledges? Im currently thinking of siro/ms/zaan but before i waste my mats, want to have some better info. Ty in advance

It's a little early for updated builds, the patch literally just rolled. You'll prob have to wait a while, in the meantime feel free to experiment yourself since we get free respecs. Don't always trust the published builds, they don't know everything

I'm having fun using War Maiden and Mechanical Acuity with daggers for melee range and Staves for distance. Siro/ms/zaan seems optimal atm. Liko has a great build posted on Youtube using that setup. But as stated, it's a little early to know whats Bis.

There’s not a lot of data yet, but Templar is looking better now than they were last patch (at least compared to other classes). Their cleave damage and Spell Resistance has always made Templar pretty good in vCR, but vAS can be harder to pull off since you cannot always be in range for Sweeps or Barrage, and Ranged Templar builds lose some damage.

I am interested in this as well. I am still using MS/Julianos with two lightning staffs. I use a Ring of the Pale Order and one piece Swarm Mother for solo content and I switch out to two piece Ice Heart if doing group content.

Any updates for ranged magplar now? Im geting very discouraged reading stuff like - mag and ranged dds prefered(no magplars please)

You can play in melee in vAS you just have to be on top of the mechanics. I main a MagDK in there running MK and Zen plus bash weaving to buff my group which forces me to be in melee range. Everything in on a timer in there so after you get some reps you get used to it. Whether a prog group will take you as a magplar or not is a different story because the ones I am in are cro and NB heavy with 1 cro in catalyst and 3 others in master architect for the major slayer uptimes. Usually you have a sorc for interrupt duty when doing +1 and +2. That leaves 2 DPS spots usually reserved for magblade because the exe phase is just brutal and you need it to be over and done with quickly before mini bosses enrage. Regular vAS though you can probably color outside the lines and bring a magplar and drop a cro from the comp.
