It is still top tier tanking race for end game trials. It is still a strong race for pvp. What do you want it to be - top race for everything?
Why do you tell me that "tank is possible on anything".
I can solo do vDLC dunguans, of couse i can tank on anything.

✭Funny enough is that redguard wasn’t supposed to be a tank race at all if you were to read the racial descriptions from the previous games (instead of rank and file soldiers, they are scouts and skrmishers who are masters at all weapons), then again just look at bosmer *shrugs*
On the other hand, since nords did lose mitigation (imo imperials are the best tanks atm) they can use a buff in either ult gen or damage.
Lets not start with altmer who can hit harder than a nord or even a redguard.2 -

✭This is kinda an overreaction to a 1440 resistance loss.
If you're currently having new difficulties I am sure beyond any reasonable doubt that it has more to do with the cp changes and lack of adapting or skill than it has to do with a measily 1440 resistance.
Yes imperials are slightly better now, however if you think 1440 resistance breaks your build and prevents you from completing content you have far greater issues to face, and far more knowledge to gain.3 -
Neiska✭✭✭✭From a low CP standpoint, this patch hit pretty hard. Not with hitpoint/damage, that feels fine. Its resources/stamina that is killing my gameplay. I no longer get as much stamina back with heavy attacks, block costs more, dodge costs significantly more, and I sprint far slower than anyone else, so I am even further behind in pug groups.
Mitigation for melee is fine. Mitigation for others is hit or miss, seen it go either way. But resources? Very hard nerf. No longer do I have enough to do all buff/debuff/self heal/block/dodge. More or less I am down to blocking, dodging, and throwing up my absorb shields. Anything else besides that is a bonus. I am no longer a "defensive support", I am metal post that taunts. no more, no less. And I didn't roll a tank to spam heavy attack and pounce on every scrap of stamina like a starving man at a banquet, which is my gameplay now.
I am told it gets better later in higher CP, but it's so bad now that to be frank, I don't care. It feels painful to play a tank now, among world events like harrowstorms, in random pugs like dungeons, as well as solo play. The literal only upside to playing a tank is with guildies, and that's really about it from where I sit. Any other activity? You are behind everyone else, severely in some cases.
Its bad enough to make me hang my sword and board up for the time being until things even out a bit. But I am not going to hold my breath, and I doubt I am the only one.4 -

2-3% for tank of cap mitigation us like 5% more HP, like 3k +- hp in my build.
If you need not to much hp, you can get resources you need or regens or any other options.0 -

✭Nords literally only have tanking passives and aren't even the best anymore at that. Imperials have more damage, more health, more sustain, and similar ultimate uptime; I don't see why Nord can't even be good at the one thing it was intended to be. If our resistances are going to be nerfed into the ground, sure, but can we get something in compensation?5 -

✭✭✭✭Tanked six dungeons the last two days, on five different characters. Which were four different classes: nightblade, deathknight, warden, and necromancer. As I was always build as a pure tank, I got buffed somewhat. The only downsides I saw was some slightly worse defenses, and slightly worse sustain. Both of those weren't really noticeable. As my defenses were way above the cap before CP 2.0 and still are capped now, and the less sustain is only like a 2% change. Even with the heavy attacks restoring less stamina than they used to, this did not affect me on any of the classes.
It did take me a little practice to get used to heavy attacks restoring less stamina, as I always used this. But I can see why ZOS took this out, as players in PvP were using it for infinite sustain. And with some very small practice, there is no issue at all.
