Should I keep being a Magplar or switch to Stamplar for Solo PVE, and BG/PVP? CP 450

I like soloing bosses and dungeons, as well as tackling PVP and BG from time to time, esp. BG.
Should I switch to a stamplar after the latest update? I really like that they've added the Occult Overloaded skill (2000/4000 damage explosion when you kill an enemy with a status effect) and the the "heal 7% done with direct damage), so I was thinking that's actually a nice way to either make a strong Magplar that further buffs the sweeps heal or a Stamplar that gains healing with jab and have a faster way to kill mobs if I find I way how to consistently put status effects on mobs. Although before the patch I had no issues with mobs anyway, but the addition 2/4k damage sounds cool, esp. for PVP/BG. Or if there's a better way to spend CP, I'm up for that too.
I heard Alcast builds aren't always the best lately, esp. magplars, so I was wondering if there is a recommended setup/site that advises you on what's the best to pick at lower CP.
I have around CP 450, so around 140 to distribute in each tree but I only have the base game (Gold edition+first four DCL), so I can't use the Ring of the Pale Order.

Sahidom✭✭✭✭I was watching Deltia duel on his magPlar and he rocked it. He looked to use a lot of the class skill kit and did exceptionally well surviving constant pressure. Thanks! Do you know what kind of skills he used? If he showed his CP, was it like Alcast's, with maxing out Precision, FIghting Finesse, Deadly Aim and Piercing like some other builds like SkinnyCheekz's have?

He was effectively using Living Dark, CP 2.0 may have buffed the skill, but he held excellent field control within his Healing or Retribution Ritual. He used a s/b and lightning staff setup, not sure what sets he fielded. He held up well against stamina in-your-face builds.
