Despite all the negativity on this forum, there are some of us that really like the new update. I personally love just about everything about it, granted there are still some tweaks needed.

I'd like give a big shout-out of thanks to the developer team (and others involved) for the massive work they put into this game year after year, and I'm eager to see how this year is going to shape out to be - especially looking forward to returning to the Deadlands. I've been playing since beta, and the game has grown so much. Bravo.

well, it is already a positive, that for armor passives the 5 pieces requirement has been removed - just for active abilities it is still 5 pieces.

I like most of the changes as well and as for stuff I don't particularly like - I'll just adapt 👍

I agree. So far, so good! :)

Aside from the correction to the inventory filter that kept getting reset, I really like that when we port to our housing we get to choose either inside or outside.

I agree! I certainly post plenty about things I think should be changed, etc. and I should be sure to voice the positive too!

I’m so glad that I no longer have to sacrifice a slot for major gallop and I’m really appreciating being able to port to outside my homes!

My feelings about the new CP system have been all over the place but trending mostly positive as there are a lot of options to try and fun new perks! :star:

I’m looking forward to venturing into the new dungeons soon!

I agree with this. It sucks a bit, but it feels more like an RPG with it in my opinion.

yeah, that is so comfortable - I use house transport quite often. the inventory filter change is imo a good thing, well it is not really a change, but a bug fix.

Some changes dont make sense though, for example light armor already takes more damage from martial attacks because it has low armor rating. The extra % increased damage taken from martial attacks is over the top if you ask me.

This is why we have tanks. Dps in light armor shouldn't even take martial dmg. So that's not an issue. Unless you're fake tank.

i can easily live with that - using the active ability of light armor for protection and back it up with vigor. Well my weapons have health absorb and I have a high health regen anyway, so I have no problem with a lighter version of light armor, with increased mobility.

It's not a DPS but one of my characters was built thematically for a magicka based tank/healer playstyle. before this update it was Nord Warden wearing 5 Light/2 Heavy using double Ice staff. It used to use 1H&S but switched to another staff once the Brittle Status came along. Another of my oddball characters is my Redguard Templar that wore 5 Medium/2 Heavy, and increased Weapon Damage along with Health/Stamina to improve shielding and boost the heals from Extended Ritual and Echoing Vigor paired with powerful Assault.

I'm more concerned about my Warden, who lost resistances that have to be substituted through CP but still take increased physical damage. Overall I'm not sure what to think about my other tanks either due to sheer amount of adjustments that have to be made without obtaining the effectiveness they might have had before. It's still a net loss even if I can boost their self healing back to acceptable levels because there are still losses in various other areas of those characters.

I logged in and my character died in the first fight I had, so I thought bad patch. On reflection I should have assigned some skills before I started any fights.

    I like the changes.
I've liked it everytime they've changed something.
But that's because I like it when an MMO spice things up now and then.
Without changes an MMO would feel stale and repetitive pretty fast.

Yes, I'm loving the changes that have been introduced. Really enjoying getting my head around the new CP system. It's provided the ability to further define my character's roles and abilities, so I can have a dedicated crafter/gatherer, dedicated thief, dedicated trial runner, or an all-rounder. Choice is good 🙂
The two new dungeons are great fun with some well thought out mechanics.
They really seem to have put a lot of thought into increasing the game's longevity, and I, for one, appreciate it a lot. Most of all though, I'm looking forward to tanking those f'ing werewolves in Moonhunter Keep now they've been nerfed! 😁

It's probably the only patch I'm in favour with since wrathstone, seems like the team started working for a change and have some synergy going now as it's now less "throw stuff on the board unti smth sticks" but more of thought out changes even if I can disagree with some of them from my personal point of view.

Ao basically you run medium armor then because the absolute nuking of heavy armor makes no sesne what so ever. Neither does the fact medium armor has no negatives but light and heavy do

Agree. I had a blast yersterday. 100% fun Fast & furious fights in PvP. I love the new champ system that forces you to make choices, you can't have everything. No unkillable targets.

For the first time in years, I feel like the hard work done by ZoS devs is starting to really work and get the game where I want it to be.

I'm so happy to see my beloved game getting healthier !

    Good job !

What can I say - artists made a really good job!
CP is interesting and has bunch of stuff to meditate on. Year or something for getting how it works.

But magicka DPS concept is dead (because they will die from scratch or cough even in PvE without Ironclad). Nb class (who was relying on crit chance/damage) is dead. Tanking without CC immunity/unlimited resource pool is impossible. Healer has an option: be dead or be useless but alive.

Regarding the heavy armor changes, if you see me running around nekkid it's because I wear heavy armor and it's easier to steal stuff without being detected if I just unequip all of my armor. :)

    Good job !

So it's healthy to deny the usage of like 95% of the sets in this game from PvP?

That doesn't sound like a healthy game to me. More like someone from a car crash being put into a protective coma.

Yeah I'm glad you had a good time but what about build diversity? Play it your way mentality etc... Someone is winning but this is no victory for anyone, especially the game itself. We can't even get double AP now.

The thread is about update 29 and performance, not about ZoS decision to take out all sets for 6 monthes. I'm on par with you on this, but its not the subject.

    Everything casts a shadow.

I appreciate the good things in the patch, sure. Like having Major Gallop as a passive now, that was a good change.

However my father gained the ability to feed himself and could walk a little better just before the cancer killed him too.

It’s much healthier now, Zos should have never allowed people’s armor to do the fighting for them.

I take it you mean the Pariah set? Ok. No need to argue as you might be right.

There's always room for improvement and they need to hear us out. However, fundamentally that is a quantum leap from working it out ... to just basically throwing out 95% of the sets in game.

Being gleeful over singular changes is great and the Team has earned some praise. But ... again fundamentally the loss of so many sets which have been in development for years, in PvP, is a huge problem for so many reasons it looms over the little 'good' things they have done.
