    Sometimes it seems like Orwell's animal farm where we question if its always been that way and we just forgot - all skills and passives are created equal. but some are more equal than others.

    saw it and been wondering what fg skill my mag toons are supposed to slot..

    So forget that passive, put the skill points to something else, and put CP in one of the perks that give you Ultimate.

    and loose ultimate generation?

    I have plenty skilll points. can't even put them into sth else that is actually useful...

    entire skill line became trash tier for any solo play.
    They should refund everybody who paid for this in crown store.

    On magicka builds it can be annoying to slot Trap on the front bar, stam builds often have Dawnbreaker on the front bar so its a lot easier.

    Good point! I guess I assumed you were a DD since the benefit is from a kill. Do you get the bonus then as a healer so long as you do some damage to the enemy? In some ways irrelevant to ask since none of my healers slot FG skills, but it would be useful to know for other passives. I confess I’be become more confused about this rather than less since I’ve started PvP and what counts as a kill differs for different quests and achievements, some specifically requiring the killing blow.

    I am considering dropping Meteor and slotting Dawnbreaker. Barely use Meteor in combat, and it might be worth losing the 2% slotable passive for it and keeping the ult gen.

    I mean it was the only guild skill that broke the mold since it didn't require having an FG skill slotted. So this is more like a flavour/consistency fix.

    Tbh, it wasn't that amazing. Since it only worked against highly specific enemies it was very niche while also downright broken in certain fights ( like in the Baxilt-Gah fight in Murkmire, due to the high amount of skeletons he summons).
    If anything, this change is a buff since it's now useful in every battle instead of highly specific ones.

    I can't think of many fights where enough mobs were spawning during boss encounters to make significant use of this passive. And in trash fights it doesn't matter.
    But tanks can slot Circle of Protection or Silver Bolts for this passive, so they aren't barred from it.

    If something is in the patch notes then it's not a stealth nerf.
