From an end game point of view, sometimes I play other classes or stamDK but mostly I only like MagDK; these are my notes and how I think the class should function differently.
Skills
Volatile Armor should be flame Damage for the reflect and spikes.
Protective Scale should also give Minor OR Major Expedition, other Race Against Time is just stronger in most cases.
Igneous weapons is pretty useless, it should do something other than extend duration and area of effect, like adding flame damage to your light attacks or something interesting.
Empowering Chains is bad, It's just, bad.
Not being able to access both Flames of Oblivion and Cauterize at the same time feels bad especially since it's our only HoT ( unless you count burning embers )
Glad Dark Talons now does fire damage but Burning Talons at 4 seconds is still worthless unless wearing Elf Bane, and I don't think a skill should be worthless without a set. I believe it should extend the duration from either Eternal Mountain or Searing Heat.
Seething Fury should gain stacks from any Flame ability ( not counting light attacks obviously ), or any Dragonknight ability, It's not like it can gain from both bars so I don't see this as overpowered.
Ferocious Leap should apply a flame ground AoE if used on a non player.. otherwise in PvE other than Overland it's laughable at best, in PvE I have no complaints, as per the non player comment.
Deep breath on final hit should hurt more the more enemies there are, otherwise prox det is still better damage wise PvE in most cases.
Obsidian Shield: No one uses the non major mending morph of this shield ( Igneous Shield ) , make this a Magicka/Spell damage based shield morph instead and maybe even apply fire damage to surrounding enemies while active to go along with the name.
Passives
Sustain sucks
I would be remiss not to complain about not having any Spell Damage, Magicka, Regeneration, or Flame damage buffs ( other than 6% AoE and skill based specifically ).
Mountain's Blessing: Minor brutality does nothing for me; but, class skills do nothing for other builds as well other than just me, I know it's some way of making sure classes are included. Still feels bad that it's mostly wasted. Eruption should give ult every damage tick every 6 seconds instead of on cast, otherwise 12 seconds of this passive is almost always wasted in PvE for MagDK.
P.S. Wish List
I still want to be able to summon a flame atronach.
I still want to be able to use fire ball of some kind.
An easier way to swap out skill morphs or even allow both ( No I'm not buying skill reset scrolls in Crown store [ I buy enough random stuff already ] and Cyrodil doesn't have a skill reset shrine nor do houses )
CP Star to increase Flame Damage.
