It's not confusing enough. Nobody should be able to figure anything out and it should be a guessing game for the next few years to keep everyone on their toes.
The only confusing and *** tree is the Craft one. You have something to improve chests loots, then useless things, then something to improve pickpocket loots far away from the previous improving. Instead of having "themed zones" like in the others trees.

I didn't find it confusing just a bit time consuming which is fine. I read each one slotted the ones I thought best and will tweak later if I have too. MMOs change all the time, I found keeping up with the other system time consuming. We shouldn't have all passives available to us. I have not found a difference in my power against a overland monster yet. But that has been my experience so far. Not saying it's perfect but I can live with it.
Some of the ordering could be a little better but I think the new CP system is way less confusing and more rewarding than the old one.
The old system lead to metas that were about min-maxing what one got out of it, with a lot of people, myself included, tending to use the old CP calculator to get the best "bang for my buck" so to speak.
The new one, if one takes time to read the tooltips, lends itself well to thinking about what role you are, what armour sets you use and how one plays and prioritising accordingly.
Personally, with CP1.0 I found myself getting to 810 just so I could consider myself 'done' with CP, with CP2.0 I am actually looking forward to getting more CP and have an idea which parts of the trees I will want next to compliment my overall build and playstyle.
I haven't had a chance to test it yet but it seems even though I have 1189 cp's the things I can't get unlocked make me look weak. Apparently, it's going to be ESO the quest for Champion Points. BTW has anyone noticed the light and heavy armor penalties?
It's a bit of a pain to work around...there are a lot of side branches in one single area.
Clicking left and right is badly done as they moved the mouse over zone right to the edges because of the size of the graphics. I'm not a huge fan of the art work either...it's very old eso....we have the mage from VAA..then a Yukodan warrior...then a generic nightblade type...feels a bit underwhelming visually.

Confusing, irritating, frustrating. as CP588 it seems things have been lost from old setup, and points had to be wasted to get to items wanted. It will be awhile before any of the new things I thought were interesting will be available as they are gated behind a lot of points spent first.
I'm going to call it quits for the foreseeable future. I've spent several hours trying to figure out what does what and why something is locked behind something else. Not to mention the "zoomable" CP which I really can't wrap my mind around. Then there's the fact that there's no easy way to tell the difference between one type of CP or the other, now which stars can be "zoomed" and which can't.
I'll consider returning once someone has made a nice, easy to read break down of this that does not expect me to spend 20 hours sorting through it all and someone has made an addon that means I don't need to spent 50 minutes reslotting stuff to play.
I would say it's partly a bit chaotic. The branching over the purple stars in "warfare" (blue) is somehow not well worked out, it is not easily recognizable.
It was really confusing at first. I think what does it for me is that it isn't a clear path on where to go. In the old system you started from the bottom and went up. Other MMOs with talent trees went from up to down. You read a book from left to right (unless specific languages). There is a structure to follow, easy to notice and use.
This system felt like it needed to go Path of Exiles light mode and scatter everything left, right, up and down. It's not super easy to see what things you need to add to the slots above. They are a bit different color, but at times it's been hard to notice it.
In the green tree, I don’t like how many points your forced to spend to unlock precursors. Like, Inspiration Boost is useless on a character with max crafting and even though Meticulous Disassembly is great, maybe I would just have it on my crafter on whom I’ve spent all the skill points for decon and refinement anyway, especially since so much of the green tree is slottable, you should never be forced to put points in a slottable there IMHO.
So mixed feelings — some very cool perks but also some frustrations with limitations and thinking I’m going to end up doing tedious switching just to open a chest, pick a flower, etc. or feel like I’m being wasteful...
Wooow after like 3 hours I just now realized you have to click on the purple dots to take you to more dots to unlock the next dots after said purple dot
While clicking away points, I somehow landed on a sub-set of the Warframe/Fitness/Craft (No clue where I was)
Do all the colors have sub-sets available by magically clicking points away?
It's significantly better than the old version with it's hidden jump points that we all just had to somehow know that it rounded down the % to the nearest full number.
it's only confusing because it's different and you haven't gradually learnt it as you gained CP like you did the old system.
I dislike being forced to spend cp on stuff i dont want to get to stuff i do want, and w only 4 slots active it means some points i have allocated aren't going to be in use at any given time anyway.
Worse, i think this is intended to be an active system, where for example i will need to change quite a lot if i want to switch from dps oriented build to say healing focused.
In the past i set my cps, and that was that, now i think that approach will amount to gimping myself at least somewhat.
Will be interesting to see what peoples views are when we have had a month or two to grow accustomed.
It's confusing in the sense that some things are in the blue Node that i feel should be in the Red node. This makes it hard to build your blue out like you did before, as you can only have 4 slotted, and there are so many important things in blue/purple.
The new system is more streamlined which I like, but I still get sensory overload when I look at it. So I just went with what Alcast recommended for my builds and didn't try to understand it.
