Why are certain foods not standardized?

With the new update, buffing health isn't as important for dps as it is now and prior to u29, so foods that buff your main dps stat and give regen are looking increasingly desirable, but the stats given aren't standardized. Take this example:

Both of these are blue provisioning recipes and therefore should have standardized stat increases, but one buff food here gives much more magicka than the other. A patch standardizing food and drink buff stats would be very much appreciated.

The right one last 2 hours and work at any level is my guess for why its weaker.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Hmm. I'm not sure my cook knows the Ghastly Eye Bowl. One of the things that will mobilize my entire crew. ;)

They nerfed drinks once because bright throat is a thing. Yes.... rather than nerf bright throat itself.

Why does everything have to be standardized? Minor bits of flavor aren't hurting anything.

It's not much of a choice, but at least it IS a choice between two different things that are actually different in a non-cosmetic way. It's nice to see there are any of those left.

You are comparing two vastly different foods.

The first is a max health and max mag cp level food.

The second is an any level event obtained food that provides max mag and regen.

The quality of the recipe is pretty irrelevant here. These are not the same and shouldn't have the same stats. If you want more mag then you need to sacrifice regen and gain more health. If you want more regen then you need to sacrifice health and some mag.

They decided the best approach to balancing Bright Throat and Bone Pirate was to make every drink in the game slightly weaker than it's food counterpart.

    Yes, seriously.

    Yes, seriously.

Probably just the drinks that offer max stats instead of just regen.

I think I have an extra recipe for that on XBOX NA from YEARS ago...

but wait, I still need the health from the millet soup to keep from being 1shot, no?

(you see me coming in overland, GTFOff my millet sacks! ;)

I suspect the reason for the discrepancy is that the drink recipe on the right is an event recipe. Its values are scalable based on the character viewing the tool tip. The one on the left is fixed at a certain level + any passives (eg. champion points)

I just want more food recipes to cover niches that we currently don't have access to - such as foods that provide Max Stam/Mag and Stam/Mag recovery (aka bi-bi-stat food).

Yet we have zillions of repeats of the same boring buff combinations.

    Also, buff the Bear Haunch!
